Older forwards is the way to go. Many of them hit their straps in their late 20's and early 30's

Agreed MU - I mean its nice to buy the 20 yr old prop - but give me tough proven props all the time.

Yeah I fully agree. Thats why I think Woods is going to hurt us a lot more than we know.

I'd rather we have an established pack of late 20s early 30s veterans and then we slot in young up and comers off the bench when they are ready

The older the forward the better. I'd be stoked getting Lewis or Heighno on a 1 year deal. Would do our young team the world of good. Call em up Pascoe!

Lewis is a gamble with injury at his age but he will put in on the pitch when fit. Very nearly came to us when he left Penrith so he might be a chance.

Looks like we got Corey Thompson on a 2 year deal with the second year in his favour.

I saw a piece saying we're looking at Kato Ottio from Canberra.

Foran has officially signed with Bulldogs...surely they will have to shed some players to become cap compliant, especially with Woods + Foran on their books and they will only be without Reynolds and possibly Eastwood.

Hopefully we can snare Tolman or Graham off them!

Graham is pretty strongly linked to the Knights.

I reckon they'll hang onto Tolman and he'll become the bench prop next year with Klemmer and Woods starting.

I guess that makes sense. Klemmer will probably stay at lock meaning Woods will just slot straight in for Graham.

If we have indeed signed Packer then I doubt we will be chasing more forwards

If we got Lewis in 2013 I dare say we'd be the merkins with the premiership instead of those inbred failures from the Shire. The guy is a stabiliser on and off the field and there is no better mentor in the game. Can someone tell Ivan to bring him across? Actually that's not happening... Ivan sacked him from Penrith.

Back to the drawing board merkins.

[QU
OTE="Tiger Ted, post: 12185968, member: 47178"]We r also interested in Guerra[/QUOTE]

I would rather keep a pathway open for Masters or MCK than sign Guerra.

Okay they say compertion is very healthy but some of these kids can loose heart if every year you sign a player and block their chances of making the top grade. Don't get me wrong we needed and still need to introduce outside talent to build a really strong team, I just don't see the point in signing a guy who is halfway down the other side of the hill when you have a couple of guys halfway up the hill..if you get my drift

Word is that Ben Barba could be heading back to the NRL after being told that he's not it their future plans by French RU club Toulon.
Worth a punt?

We are in the market for a no1 and it seems like we have missed out on Lolohea if you believe what they said on big breakfast today. So I guess he will come into the frame along side every other off contract no1. Certainly would not be my first choice but he can play football

Barba never wanted to go overseas and this further proves it. Just made a dumb ass mistake and had to pay the consequences

I'd sign him for this year on a minimum contract (because he has to serve his suspension) with a bit of an upgrade for next year

At his best he is just as good as Tedesco and there's no reason why he can't get back to his best

In order I'd chase after

Barba > Mitchell > Hopoate

Lolohea I think is going to the cows
