I definitely think he’s better than Laurie, has played 7 his whole life so that’s a big start. Guys dominated every grade he played in. Was player of the year and man of the match in Illawarras 2019 SG Ball winning side when a year younger then everyone else.

Still only 21 but a solid build, good defender and has plenty of cockiness about him which is good in a young half.

By no means do I think he’s going to lead us to success but he’s absolutely worth a shot imo
If he was as good as you’re telling us Saints wouldn’t be running second last. Looks good as an individual in a shit team, his best game of the season was against the last placed side. No better than Laurie.

I dont look at him as the sole player to win a comp , but the player to contribute to a teams balance and provide some x factor.
A lot depends on whether Benji can actually coach and teach his craft, if he can mentor this kid successfully he could be a super star.

Signed on a reported $800,000 on the proviso he’d play five-eighth and brain it, Schuster’s move to a primary playmaker role has been a bust.

Maybe dodged a bullet with this one? Must admit I was one who thought he may have been worth a chance, unless of course he’s tanking?

At the end of the day, I think all players need to be assessed on a value for money basis. And their value changes markedly, except for Uber elite.

But also, some players are going to work better under different coaches and with different team mates.

I’m quite keen on Shyster, but he needs the ducks in a row. I don’t think he’s at 800.

If Manly want rid of him, Fulton might cut a deal.

Seibs coaching is not everyone’s cup of tea as we saw in Brisbane. It’s hard work.

So I’ve been ok with Brooksy, but not at his price tag. He’s been very expensive, very inconsistent.

Latrell has been better this year, but previously, due to misbehaving, hes hurt Souths a lot.

It seemed to me @Tigerm, we all should have stopped what we were doing and volunteered to drive Mbye to Jubilee Oval.

If I recall correctly, @Vic Mackey got the scoop and posted it up 3 days before it was officially announced. Maybe even before bloody Moses knew about it. I was impressed with Vics club spies. Better than my lazy lot who are wrong all the time.

But Mbye was nice to me. Not worth his marquee dough, but good luck to him.

Definitely dodged a bullet. He's a year old than Curtis was when Potter shifted him to the backrow, so he still has a fair bit of sulking ahead of him before he accepts that he's a backrower.

He certainly hasn't done their cap any favours either. $6.2M locked up between 7 players leaves 23 spots fighting over $5.25M in cap space. That's an average of $228k per player. Our cap is in a much better position than theirs

“I'm eligible for Queensland, but I don't know – I'd like to play for NSW,” he told the publication.

If you’re a NSWelshman, you gotta love this bloke. He will get to pick his choice soon.
We have a couple of years of Edwards upon us.

Due is due and he has origin written all over his game.

You ask @soc123_au or @Kilkenny, you can have smug and entitlement but some players are built for origin. They do all the 1%ers , are safe, have speed, game awareness, are humble, have team spirit and can score.

Dylan Edwards is coming and thank God for that.

We are all going to be wondering why he hasn’t been selected for the last 3 years.

Its a crime against the game, we are the worser for it.

He’d be the ideal Tiger, our Rookie of the century, looks like he can play anywhere in the backs so far. One of those players. Next to sezer? lol.

Luke Thompson

Luke Thompson
The Wests Tigers are set to make a play for the services of off-contract Bulldogs prop Luke Thompson to bolster their front row depth.

The Daily Telegraph reported the Tigers have shifted their recruitment drive from the halves to the forwards with Thompson their next target to sure up their engine room.
Thompson is set to play his first game since Round 1 for the Bulldogs after being named to return from a foot injury against the Knights in Round 24.

I really hope this isn't an indication that Stef may leave??

On a side note, a couple of Saints fans are saying that Sullivan has a gut and is a lousy trainer. I hope this is not so.

Given that the Tigers made a big show of Sullivan touring our training facilitates by inviting every NRL photographer to attend and how much time has passed since then I'm guessing it won't be much longer before the official announcement is made that he has signed with the Bulldogs.

Ha ha, having considered what you and I said
Silly-van probably failed his medical....next.
Or we get several marquee players like
Pain IndaHaas and Manu.. then before the first round we are again losers as the RLPA gets the players to strike for the entire season causing sponsors to jump ship, fox and 9 sue the NRL and win and the game folds.
However, as a bright light shines upon us,
we then go back to park footy where it all started and we stand on the sidelines cheering close to the action... beer in hand and having a ball.

According to an article in today's Herald about Mc Donald possibly being recruitment officer at Manly it mentioned Sullivan has signed with the tigers for 4 years.
I must have missed it.
