Sezer deal done. He's signed for one year with a option for the second year.
As mentioned elsewhere here, Sullivan deal is for 4 years, which is crazy given how Injury prone he's been.
Looks like one or both of stabby mc-church dances brothers don't come here till 2025.

Have you guys read the really old posts back in 09. Days of our Lives stuff, very entertaining stopping just short of blood shed.
This Tigers forum is pretty cool I must say, all good chaps with different personalities. My missus reckons I have the personality of a drowned water rat...thank god she loves animals ha ha ha.
It's really hard to know what's going to happen in Hamilton as the Warriors are on a roll but we are improving.
I think the changes to our backline is going to be to our detriment.
Seizer signed, woohoo. He's a good footy player and on par with Hastings IMO.

Fulton is right minded, I’m sure he wouldn’t sign Sully on a whim.

I’d be much more worried about Sezer who Fulton didn’t appear to want.
I think Sezer makes a lot of sense, particularly to give Fainu a year before he’s thrown into first grade. Means you also have a bit of experience in your spine aside from Koriseau.

Didn’t Fulton want Cogger? That would have been a mistake. He’s a backup at best who looks good at the moment behind a dominant Penrith team (and would have wanted at least 2-3 years). While Sezer is at the backend of his career, he’s always been a pretty reliable half, and has experience leading teams into the finals.

Yes, your points are well made.

Fulton and I have lost the Cogger campaign.

Don’t get me wrong, I hope Sezer plays at optimum. I expect he’s got some in built resistance to bad coaching which is good.

But being someone’s mate is suss.

It's no fluke that successful club/coaches and heads of recruitment make good choices.... generally.
We have made some diabolical choices since 05, year 1 in fact.
The club rightly so put in a successful recruiting man in Fulton. They had to do something.
We supporters have had enough and demanded a change....this is one of them. If we sat on our hands then we would be calling for heads again.
Simply letting coaches come in, screw our salary cap then leave us in a mess had to stop.
Let's hope Fulton is the right man and Benji and co will work together.

I'd say the 2nd year is for Insurance if the kids don't progress or get hurt.
As for Cogger he is a perfect example of what players can do in the right system. As others have said not for us though.

personally I love the Sezer signing. We need a halfback in the short term or we risk throwing Fainu in before his time. This deal gives us a year or two to get Fainu ready. Having no halfback is what causes you to throw long term deals at average players on marquee money. Sullivan would add some spark to our attack which is fairly flat.

It is, what it is, so I’m happy to see how it pans out.

The measurement is easy, get us to the top 8.

We all need to remember that we didn’t have a 7 next year, we are the repeat spooners, only winning will change player perception.
Hey mate, sounds like your back home.
I'm sure you've played footy as I have and you must agree that an ever changing side stuffs things up. Ruins cohesion especially in the playmaking roles.
I'm confident that if we keep this side for at least two more seasons we will reap the rewards.

Yeah, the trouble is, it’s been over a decade of NO success:(

We didn’t have a 7 beyond 2018 so we signed Brooks up on a long term big money deal. Brooks is a decent player but not worth the deal he was given and his performance suffered. The team got progressively worse over the 5 years. Now he’s left teams know we have no halfback and a bit pot of money to spend. Prime position to be taken for a ride and overspend.

The tigers are like fashion....it/they keep going back and reinventing themselves, unfortunately to their detriment.
As I said a few times already, the only thing to rewrite the ship is first throw out the anchor and then do the opposite to what caused the capsize.
Well the achor was to get our salary cap in great shape.
Secondly, we're not getting a new CEO and board so next on the agenda is to recruit like the best teams do.
Fulton just could be our savior.
Remind me of this post in a year or two, hopefully I'm not eating my words.

Signed on a reported $800,000 on the proviso he’d play five-eighth and brain it, Schuster’s move to a primary playmaker role has been a bust.

————-

Maybe dodged a bullet with this one? Must admit I was one who thought he may have been worth a chance, unless of course he’s tanking?
Absolutely dodged a bullet, this kid reminds me of David Taylor, an absolute superstar on natural ability all through his junior footy, had it all handed to him but now he has to work for it he doesn’t appear to have the mental fortitude, still young, and a bit of maturity will make some difference, he might come good , but the signs are worrying

P
Brooks would just be happy he won’t involved with the 3peat of spoons

i called last year Papali’i was gonna be Blair 2.0 he is really missing Brad Arthur
Papaali has had the odd good game, I don’t think it has much to do with the coach, the service he is getting from our halves has been rubbish 90% of the time. He is already better than Blair at the Tigers

The issue is Benji loves the Shuster. Enter Fulton to say no!
