Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Well there's a few on here and in other media who have given up on him already. Too much criticism for the Rookie coach.
Ciraldo was in a similar boat to Benji and had his new team chopping and changing and the knives came thick and fast. Now that the team is settled and the roster is good they look like a top 8 side.
None of us really know what efforts or extremes Benji has gone thru or what sacrifices he and his family have made.
We can only go on results and surely his disjointed baptism into NRL coaching can't be an accurate assessment of his ability to have us winning. First he needed time to assemble this team which is getting there, then the team needs to gel, that will happen imo.
He is by nature a winner so let's get on board and if the boat sinks we go for a lovely swim, we're used to that.
No he got parachuted into a position well beyond his ability and intellect.

If he was telling players what to do, they either didn’t listen him (bad) or did what he wanted (bad).

On his watch, we got another spoon, we lost key players, virtually no one has improved and his preparation for our biggest game in 3 years was to instruct the players to “throw the ball around.”

He works 9-5 and I saw the Seibs documentary and he was up at 430am and lucky to be home by 10.00. “Whatever it took” was his attitude.

And thousands of loyal and honest folk attended spoon bowl with all the good will in the world and were jipped.

And he all but laughed about it afterwards.

Of course some of players where in hysterics and why they were invited to the club functions post season, shows how lousy and tolerant we are.

Anything goes until we get the leadership we need.

Benji was Lees key appointment…he should have been the first to go last year and learn his job properly before jumping into the seat. I don’t see why we should all suffer while he’s still learning.

His coaching record so far is beyond appalling, it would be one of the worst in the history of the game.

If he was a qualified doctor, I wouldn’t let him put a Band-Aid on me.

Nice theory but what if the players were/are simply not good enough.
Jury is still out for me. I'll stop there TSP because my meds and pain levels are leading me into a fight I don't want. Instead I'll have a sleep.
Hang in there champ, I think we are ticking as many boxes that we can and time will tell if it's going to work. Nothing we can do but wait..
Cheers mate.

No flies on you, we are forever good friends.

But in the cold light of day, if putting a competitive side together and running everything properly was 100, we’d be at 38 with the wind behind us.

The club was dog paddling along a bit aimlessly after the dickheads left, but instead of throwing us a life jacket, management thew us an anchor.

Lee in particular has been a bad sport as he couldn’t accept his complete incompetence.

Anyway, as you said and as I found out this year, us members don’t count.

We seem to get in the way of snout.

Hodgo, I mean wtf.

Mate - you gotta stay upbeat until at least the 2nd round.

They’ve got my money, the dog coughed up too. So long as there’s cash to gorge their faces on, they can get on with the serious business of pretending to run a footy club.

If we can land May, I might go to members players day and ask Sully to sign my sneakers.
