I doubt that IM has as much sway over Doueihi as most might think... it would be contract assistance and advice but I very much doubt that Moses could have gotten AD to leave if he didn't want to
No doubt the way it panned out the grub doesn’t have the usual influence over AD that he has over the majority of his clientele.Im glad my prediction was wrong in this instance coz I like AD & his humble family & I underestimated the confidence & maturity of the proud Balmain junior whose junior club the dundas shamrocks is based 5 mins from my place.

I like the Roberts and Geyer signings, though Geyer seems like a one year rental before going to Perth.

I think this would mean Fainu and KPP are first choice with Roberts, Sukkar and Geyer competing to back them up. I think Murray is behind them and really stuck in NSW cup next year. Seyfarth shifts to prop depth with May, Hunt, Sione Fainu, Twal, Pole all in front of him. That's not too bad.

I guess that means Bird is heading to England? He does have another year on the contract?

And dare I say that's alot of second row depth for positions that can be 80 minute spots. Is there any chance that long term we see Samuela shifted to centre or even wing?

I reckon the pack is looking something like this:-

Starting Props:- Twal & May
80 minute backrowers:- Samuela & KPP
Lock:- Sione/AD

Bench Tristan Hope, Sione/AD, Pole, Seyfarth

I'd have Seyfarth ahead of Hunt and you can play him on an edge. I suppose you can also play Sione and Pole there as well but they are both heaps better in the middle. Seyfarth is also better in the middle.

I don't know who I'd drop out of the team but I really think we need an impact middle forward. If Hunt was playing well it'd be great but atm I have all those other options ahead of him. Hunt has another 2 years on his contract. I wonder if Kit can come through and take a spot.

Is there any chance that long term we see Samuela shifted to centre or even wing?

I don't see it happening. Our outside backs are great and Samuela is in my opinion our best backrower by far. I'll wait and see how KPP goes next season but I think he is a good signing.

Our edge backrow depth sounds good to me now as well.

I’ve got Hunt at the bottom of pecking order.I don’t see him improving & applying pressure on Benji to pick him.Hunt & Bird need to be discarded albeit they will cost us as we will have to subsidise the majority of their salaries to play elsewhere

That is according to veteran rugby league reporter Phil Rothfield, who has revealed the Dragons, Bulldogs and Perth Bears are the interested parties.

HTF can the dogs keep offering big contracts to players, do they have the same salary cap as the rest of us?
It’s farcical. The dogs salary sombrero is now larger than the rorters. The Laundy family can employ family members of tino as bartenders & cleaners on large 6 digit salaries

I could see him going to Bears. They have a war chest and will splash on some big players. Mal will be able to convince a couple of the Queenslanders to come for a big pay day. Tino and Munster could very well be on the top of that list.

That being said, there is the Samoan connection. He would look f**king epic playing 13 for Tigers

Because the they have a revolving door that keeps rotating until they have the right squad.
Remember it's a top 30 cap.
The Top 30 Salary Cap for 2026 is
$11,950,000 and jumps up to $12.1 for for 2026, and throw in $0.3 million Veteran and Developed Player allowance and a $0.1 million Motor Vehicle allowance and a lot more allowances, and TPA's.
SOO players $20k bonus is included in the cap so too. A problem we never have to worry about :)
A lot of juggling of those 30 players contracts are done.
We have players like Tumeth on our books and I could just about guarantee he's on a base salary compared to another player treading water like Kit.... he'd be on more.
If clubs are not development clubs they'll buy players and maintain at least 17 guns, pay them well and chicken feed for the rest. Id like to know what all the salaries are and compare clubs to see if my theory is correct
The dogs revolving door now includes Reed Mahoney and Toby Sexton and they are bound to release other players if they secure Tino.
That's why I keep saying it's wise to have up to $1mil left in our 2026 cap in case a gun becomes available come Nov1.. The club who has the bait invariably catches the fishy.
Apparently the NRL won't ratify a contract unless the club can prove they have or will have cap space by the time the player starts eating into the cap.
Me feels that clubs that have always managed to have a bulging roster also do some mutual back scratching when it comes to having contracts ratified.
I won't come out and say they cheat....that would be politically incorrect.
In 2013, the roosters won the GF with a star crammed roster.
An ex Rooster Ian Schubert was the RL Auditor :)

Having TPA's available is the key, which we don't seem to use, and I don't know why.
Surely we'd have people willing to do it?

Bird, now there's a player I've gladly forgotten is in our squad for the last couple of weeks. What's up with him anyway? Tigers don't seem to do injury reports anymore, but he and R Hunt have been absolute dud signings of the highest order.

Bird has another year left, and Hunt has two more!

The 195cm Indigenous All Star can play as both an edge and middle forward and at 20 years-of-age is a highly regarded prospect.

Roberts will join the Wests Tigers on a Development deal in 2026, before moving into the Top 30 in 2027.
