Its going to be Atkien. I used to bag him heaps till I saw him against the Raiders. Atkien is the real deal and can only get better. As for Bird , I cant see him in the Sharks NRL side at all. Its going to be Noddy and The kid as the halves with Sully filling in for Noddy and Gallen or Dumas for Atkien. Bailey at lock, Vagana and Goldie in the centres. Simmonds at full back , Reick and Kent on the wings alternating with Merritt ( or some other fast bugga). Clear as day.

I just thought id mention that Russ had to stand up to the likes of Bailey and Sullivan at half time. When he came on in the fist half the more experienced people where not giving him a go in his eyes. He basically said to them at half time he may as well not be out there if they dont give a go. Good on him for speaking up then being able to take control of the game.

Bird's future is in the forwards.

Couldn't agree more about Bird. He's got a big future, but is it at the Sharks?

Aitken Looked dangerous almost every time he had the ball in his hands. He was also looked pretty solid in defence. I hope he get's more time in 1st Grade.

Well you may see this
9. Hilder 7. Sullivan 6. Bird 17. Aitken
With a 20-25 minute change
9. Sully 7. Aitken 6. Bird 13. Hilder

Yikes.

Personally I'm surprised Bird didnt win the most overated player poll in RLW .

Apart from his Left foot step he has nothing.

Give Aitken the job at 5/8 - he has class

For all the Craigie bashers I am just currently watching a replay of the Souths game. He is having a great game & has a great combo with the young half back.
Featured in both of Souths first tries.
& about 4 line break assists

In your dreams McSharkie. By the way Bird has the potential to give as much to Cronulla as Charlie Saab, Eion Crosson and Andrew Neave. Will go down in Sharks folklore no doubt. ;-)

I totally agree SF.

But as soon as he went to 9 we were such a better team to watch. He could be a great 9(I don't wanna call him a hooker around you  ) for us for many years.

All I can say is i am glad most of you aren't the coach.

Bird is a talent and the quicker he is back in the 6 the better. This week we'll have no Kimmorely, Peachy, Vagana .. and half of you want to play Bird in PL ..... sheesh

Sullivan is a part time hooker, no halfback .. he is a hog, and none of the other players have any idea what he is going to do. Great for shooting out of dummy half, and the odd dive for the line, but no playmaker.

Aitken has potential no doubting it, i think he should play 7 this week with bird at 6.

The thing letting us down atm is the crappy defence, Merritt has to go .. he'd have to score 3 tries a game to make up for the 2 he lets in , how many has he scored this season. Bring back Rieck .. at least he can score a try !
