Following news of a bust-up between Luke Keary and Souths co-owner Russell Crowe, it's been revealed the Rabbitohs playmaker is in talks with the struggling Gold Coast Titans.


"Luke's manager has been talking to the Gold Coast Titans quite aggressively over the last few weeks," said Massoud, on Triple M's Grill Team.

Triple M's Mark Geyer said if the Rabbitohs lost Keary it would be a massive blow to their finals hopes.

"Keary is a kid who'll play Origin and even Australia. He's a kid who Souths need at his best if they're any chance of winning the comp," said MG.

"You don't want to have one of your better players offside."

The Titans have been criticised for not possessing a genuine match-winner which is one of the reasons they haven't made the finals in five seasons.

They recruited Broncos promising rookie half Kane Elegy, but he's gone for the 2016 season after he ruptured his ACL in the club's first training session.

Earlier, Souths halfback Adam Reynolds denied reports he had asked for an immediate release from the final two years of his contract to join the Titans.

When an Owner/chairman tries to take any control of a team it inevitably ends in disaster. The fact that the burgess brothers were the only ones praised is also a worry. Tom was ok last year but George was disappointing all year long, surely the guys copping a beat down will be pissed about that.

Blame Elgey for what? Elgey plays for the Gold Coast Titans, it was Luke Keary who plays for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, you may not have heard of them, who walked out on Crowe.
