This would make my day. He is a good guy and I think could offer value to another club. He just isn't the right fit for where we are heading.

If we secure this lot including Arrow, the bastards will have done it to us again, got us dreaming, got us believing & hoping that we have turned the corner and we will sit in the stands come finals time with the others.
This is just not how we do things here, we sprint, stutter, run, walk and ultimately fall over at the final hurdle.
It's just gunna be huge if it happens. Be still, my beating heart.

Very good point...How’s he going to handle that pressure ..not well from what I’ve seen so far..Some people just crumble under any kind of pressure..Lots of god people come from a very vulnerable place and need God to get through the day...I can’t wait to see how this unfolds

If we can get all the players on our wish list a sand bag could play hooker and we would still be a far better side.
Altho a hooker is generally a specialist position, if u have at least a degree of speed plus talent outside you will be able to get the job done.
Just check the beach sprinter out... the worst kicker,ball player and general footballer to have ever played origin for NSW... but he is a gun lol

I don't think we need to worry about the halves next year unless we have injuries. A prop would be good though.

@macnaz - the hooker position is less of a problem if we can get some quality elsewhere in the team. We can play Mbye there or maybe Liddle will come back or whoever.

I'm a bit over the stop gap solutions to our spine but yeah I think we shouldn't go after anyone for hooker just yet. Let Reynolds/Stimpkin/Liddle all fight it out and if none of them cut the mustard then we find a new hooker with the war chest we will have.

I'd rather we not play Walters at hooker, and instead groom him as Benji replacement

We all know that Brooke’s just hasn’t got the ability to control a game like the Benchmark Thurston which for a long time after my first thread on this forum - (around game 3 this year “Its not Benji or Reynolds it’s Benji or Brooke’s”) - killed me on a weekly basis..(Go check it out it must be still around somewhere)..I was Brookes worst critic ..then his game imo improved massively and he started playing at that level consistently and involved a lot of the big plays that lead to try’s and wins...but still no idea how to control games especially in the big moments during set plays when the pressure would be too much for him and he’d come up with some dumb play which imo contributed to at least a couple of loss’s ...the other thing that made me look at it differently was when I realised that Brooke’s was never going to leave the Tigers while Madge was in charge ...So I’ve decided that with what he brings which is impressive but not ideal and with the right roster maybe we can just pummel the hell out of teams until they submit, combined with his moments of brilliance, combined with the Pizzaz Benji brings to create try’s out of nothing ... hopefully that will be enough...at least it’s a better than average second option..so yes I agree with you about his inability to control a game but it’s pointless fighting that one because it’s not going to help one bit..also Pezz and 05 will just drive u up the wall defending him ..like they did to me although that was before Brooke’s improvement

I vaguely remember reading that Madge believes Walters has the attributes to make a decent hooker.

Apparently Liddle is f**ked for next year, so we need an able interim hooker until we can ascertain that Simpkin will come on in a big way.

I also agree that we need a prop. Brooks is here until 2023 so there's no point discussing that. Maybe after Benji rides off and Reynolds is offloaded we may chase a dominant half.

It's a worry isn't it. Still I'd prefer a player like Latrell compared to say Cook.

We way outperformed this year given how much cap we had on the sidelines.
