Missed him Jeff. Did you manage to hear what he had to say? Will be on SEN radio between 3-30pm and 4 pm today.
David.Missed him Jeff. Did you manage to hear what he had to say?
Sorry I did miss one thing, he was asked if any player ie Hunt has a clause in their contract that allows them to leave if Hook was hooked. Webb responded NO.David.
Sap58 summed it up well.
On this thread.
Thanks for that SAP58 and Jeff. Most of us know that changing the coach will not solve things without a lot of hard work involving the right people. Yes, saying that St George v Illawarra Board members are not split is something you would expect Webb to say.I heard the interview nothing surprising, said Hook took the decision as well as someone can losing their job. Did state changing the coach will not solve things without a lot of hard work to be done by a lot of people to turn the results around. Did state the Board is not split and work well together, there is no St George v Illawarra (as you would expect him to say) he also said they are working through the applicants for the coaching role & do not want it to linger on too long & would hope a decision will be made & announced in the next 3-4 weeks.
thanks for the summary sap58.. I think it would be good for everybody if the new coach was announced sooner than 3 weeksI heard the interview nothing surprising, said Hook took the decision as well as someone can losing their job. Dean Young apparently making a late run...Thanks for that SAP58 and Jeff. Most of us know that changing the coach will not solve things without a lot of hard work involving the right people. So Webb thinks that a decision to be made and announced as to the successful applicant to take over as head coach is 3-4 weeks away is reasonable considering that 1) At least Hook is now gone 2) The interim coach Carr is able to select players and make adjustments in the next few weeks to see what would be the formula for the longer term and to enable any "prospective" coach to see what will be needed for next year and 3) The Board has that time to make sure that the next person to be appointed as Head Coach of the Dragons will be without fail someone definitely who can be successful.
This is becoming like the call of the Melbourne Cup! Ha!Dean Young apparently making a late run...
That's unfortunate.Sorry I did miss one thing, he was asked if any player ie Hunt has a clause in their contract that allows them to leave if Hook was hooked. Webb responded NO.
Not ideal, but seriously-NRL 360 badgered this point to death last night. Why carry on the next day?
Did they make any mention of Paul Kent at all?Not ideal, but seriously-NRL 360 badgered this point to death last night. Why carry on the next day?
NoDid they make any mention of Paul Kent at all?
No they haven't, but this was reported earlier today:Did they make any mention of Paul Kent at all?
Exactly. Paul Kent's behaviour is nothing whatsoever to do with rugby league. Even the connection due to the fact that he reports and opines about the game is very loose. After all, he reports and opines about other sports as well. For crying out loud.No they haven't, but this was reported earlier today:
I don't think NRL360 should not be talking about a matter before the courts. Leave that to reputable news agencies that only report on what is happening, and not offer an editorial.
Agree. Not to mention that the assertions regarding the timing of communications are all wrong anyway. Fair dinkum, they report falsehoods and then feign outrage at them. These people aren't journalists at all; they're just bullshit artists of the highest order. Not ideal, but seriously-NRL 360 badgered this point to death last night. Why carry on the next day?
Absolutely agree, well saidAgree. Not to mention that the assertions regarding the timing of communications are all wrong anyway. Fair dinkum, they report falsehoods and then feign outrage at them. These people aren't journalists at all; they're just bullshit artists of the highest order.
Hook and the players, and the rest of the human race, have been advised of developments in his demise in minute detail, in real-time, for months on end. These same quasi-journalists have been banging-on about it the entire time. None of them reported any actual facts or revelations during the whole protracted saga. Then they carry on like stuck pigs about it. Just unadulterated bullshit from a pack of ill-educated, lazy bludgers vying for top-dog in the public melodrama stakes.
