So kids now playing in the Balmain DJRL will have to paly for at least 4 clubs to get to first grade, if theyre good enough.
Their local club, Balmain Tigers Jnr cubs, Ball and flegg squads, Balmain-Ryde-Eastwood Tigers in PL, or B-R-E-T, and Wests Tigers in firsts. #-o

It's quite clear that this is not the case and the Tiger identity is retained in PL via guernsey, colours, emblem and leading name. :roll:

But hey, never let the facts get in the way of ............................

Just an observation.....I hope my son will have to travel that course one day, all the way to the top.
I think its clear it is the case....show me how it isnt.

by the way R-E claiming their resources would be stretched by fielding two teams is as phony an excuse as when guildford claimed they couldn't afford a JB cup team - in both cases they simply didn't want to and cost was a convienient excuse.

I understand where you are coming from brook. It is good to see views like yours. I am sick of the apathy many fans have (in general, this isn't a dig at your club).

It looks like RE aren't investing anymore money than they currently are but are using the "increasaed relationship with PL" (which has more to do with name change than it does increased investment) to justify this.

So now there'll be no Ryde-Eastwood Hawks. It is a loss but then again there are no fans to feel that loss.

Will the emblem be changed to incorporate the term "Ryde Eastwood" ala "Sydney Tigers"?

I'm one of the very few hawks fans so I guess I'm feeling it from both sides lol

they are saying the logo won't change but that doesn't mean they won't be changing the wording I guess

I hope they wont but I'm guessing they probably will
