i think NSW AND Parra fans should stop and have a bit of a think and not just blindly stick up for someone who is/will wear their colours

it was a VERY dumb thing to do .... I can't even imagine his thought process   .... I can only imagine it was a moment of exhausted stupidity ... and I imagine we might hear an apology in the media from Poore and admission that he had a brain fart

Agree Strides, when people were talking about it i hoped it wasn't true, because whether he meant it or not it was a stupid and possibly dangerous thing to do.
Hopefully id he does apologise, he just goes and has a quiet word to Price though, not do it through the media

My benefit of the doubt will kick in at some stage.

It was pretty stupid of Poore tbh. Waterhouse was rightfully cleared. Just bad timing.

Mind you, why wasn't anyone standing over their 'brother' Pricey??

I think the furore since the match in the press and the discussions on here have been fantastic. I've loved it.

Growing up watching State of Origin, mate against mate, all the hate from the quuenslanders - us guys down south hating Wally, them hating guys like Benny Elias and Mark Geyer - it was brilliant theatre.

Personally I've found for a while now that while producing great games, SOO hadnt been the same - lacking the genuine personalities that we had in the 80s and early 90s.

Finally, it's back in a big way. Heroes and villians. I reckon it's going be on like donkey kong in match one next year, it'll rate the house down and I can't wait.

I know who started it...... and I know Chris Close started the tradition of driving the knees in but no I'm unaware of what was the cause of the start of the fight.

Queensland went to get a clearing kick away but NSW had the intention of smashing whoever kicked, laying in and starting the fight.

From memory, I don't think Queensland were prepared for it whereas NSW probably had a fair idea what was coming the other night.

Just with all the talk about dog acts and so forth I was making sure people weren't taking any high ground.

ummmmmmmm ... i'm confused - as far as i know, that is how EVERY SOO game was EXPECTED to go in the first 10 minutes of the game .... where does the "dog act" bit come into that? .... i'm sure both teams were sent out to go the biff at the first opportunity back in those days

I would've thought the dog act was Close kicking one of the blues players
