Why? He is very smart. There is nothing at all that suggests he has done anything wrong. This is not news. It has been around for a few years. Why do you think the noise around the Roosters and KP is so big! It is not an invention.

There is literally no indication from the club whatsoever to suggest their preference is for Ponga to leave. Your post suggests it’s well known information that the Knights want Ponga to leave but their actions suggest the complete opposite.

Also the Ponga to the Roosters stuff is 100% an invention at this stage.

I don’t know Yosh. There is a school of thought in the club at present which believes letting Kalyn leave in exchange for a class 7 is our best way forward. You will not hear it said in the media locally but believe me the chances of KP seeing this deal out are 50/50 at best of a word class half becomes available to us. The cap strain and drama of Andre Ponga are a lot bigger than we are told. Andre is a smart man. Has had this club’s number for years. Met with Politis last contract as a device to get the money He wanted. Knows it will have the flow on effect and create doubt around Kalyn’s stability here. Always means he holds the cards. for the club to move forward something needs to change on a level not yet seen before. Are we strong enough to do it? I doubt it, Kalyn will get what he wants. Which will be more dollars than ever.
You lost me at "Andre is a smart man".

You really need to be careful posting this sort of stuff without any evidence. The media are known to troll the other Knights forum to get info and they run the Ponga wanting out stories even if there’s no truth
They will create whatever they want regardless. What I have heard is what I posted. I know people in the club inner circle. They have no real issue with any of the aforementioned as KP’s father is a good man who wants best for his son. And that is all that drives him. It is just do we use it as bargaining chip in an extraordinary situation or extend him if he is willing, NOONE IS AT FAULT, the club’s approach to it is empathetic, Not sensationalist like the media always go for.

Also what imaginary marquee half is:
A) going to actually make it to the market
B) going to entertain coming here?

Look around the league:
Cleary isn't changing clubs.
Hughes isn't changing clubs.
Moses isn't changing clubs.
And once you get outside of that you're talking about either a tier or two down or players with huge caveats.

DCE is 200.
Fogarty has a great kicking game and looks above average with a great forward pack.
Sexton nope.
Reynolds is 200.

To get 3/4 of them you'd have to pay 800+.

The only real target would be Katoa. No one else.

Even if we got Mitch Moses tomorrow, we'd likely still suck because he'd be playing in a team that drops the ball once a set and has its mini forward pack get dominated weekly.

Either way, the club sounds like it's run by Isaac Moses and Andre Ponga. Is that right?

So another decade of mediocrity it is!

The NRL 360 guys are just making it up as they go along at this point any way. Braith is grinding away on AOB due to his dislike of Moses, Hooper is peddling this three way swap which has been denied by basically everybody. They know AOB articles get clicks and comments, they have nothing to lose given the club is more aligned to the Newcastle Herald and NBN (Nine). It’s getting ridiculous, but ultimately only a win is going to shut them up…

Literally they win and they go back into their holes…but winning seems impossible at the moment.

2 mill is actually nothing for Wests, especially if you factor in the cost of loss of memberships of people not renewing due to seeing no light at the end of the tunnel. We probably don’t improve much with a new coach realistically unless we improve the forward pack, but fans seem to go into new seasons with a bit of optimism that things will be different when there’s a new coach (even if it changes nothing).

The thing that frustrates me the most is that the three guys who were meant to be the best up and coming coaches a few years back were AOB, Fitzgibbon and Ciraldo. All three of them had big wraps on them for what they had contributed to successful clubs and there was every reason to think they were set up to be successful in the NRL. Both Ciraldo and Fitzgibbon have kicked on and proven how good they are but somehow we got stuck with the dud who had all the same wraps as these guys but coaches like a dinosaur with no imagination for some reason.

Rank 1 to 3 which team has the best spine out of Sharks, Dogs and Knights
Spine that has the objective of kicking, steering and directing the team around the footy park.
