MIDDLE FORWARDS
Stats used: Tackle busts + offloads, tackles, effective tackle percentage, errors per 100 possessions, efforts (runs + line engagements + supports + decoys)

1. Terrell May (Wests Tigers) — percentile ranking total 433
2. Isaah Yeo (Panthers) — total 420
3. Adam Elliott (Knights) — total 406
4. James Fisher-Harris (Warriors) — total 390
5. Payne Haas (Broncos) — total 382
6. Max King (Bulldogs) — total 376
7. Pat Carrigan (Broncos) — total 375
8. Jack de Belin (Dragons) — total 351
9. Addin Fonua-Blake (Sharks) — total 350
10. Corey Horsburgh (Raiders) — total 349

Any statistical analysis that has Elliott ahead of Haas should immediately be put in the bin, but it does highlight Elliott does a lot of good things on the field.

Elliott makes $450K per season lol. Just an insane thing to fixate on.

There can be more than one reason a player hasn't re-signed or signed elsewhere. Adam Reynolds signed with the Broncos on the 13th of May 2021. He had been off contract/available since Nov 1 2020. I guess he's a bum too? That $800K the Broncos signed him on was a cap-killing albatross deal? If he was good he would have been snapped up by December! Do I have that right?
Selwyn Cobbo also doesn't have a deal for 2026 onwards...

The worst thing I have to say about Adam Elliott is that his niche is lightening the load of his teammates, rather than being the dominant force himself. Eg if you added him to the Broncos at 13 over Kobe Hetherington I'd put a huge bet on them winning the comp. The pressure on Haas and Carrigan to lead line speed and clean up around the middle is lessened tremendously, instantly, and both blokes are making 5 fewer tackles per game. It's not a coincidence the best Raiders team of the last few years had him at 13 behind Tapine and Papalii.

The issue is our lack of a truly elite play 1 prop rather than Elliott, if anything I'd say he's somewhat underpaid for what he delivers.

I think AOB's got it backwards with Friz at 13 and Elliott the bench prop this weekend, but I reckon Adam's performance freed up to be more of a bench impact player this weekend will be eye opening for all but the most rusted on haters.

Elliot has missed a couple of weeks so maybe wants to ease him into it? I don't mind Elliot missing the first 20 minutes or so and coming on to play middle for the rest of the game.

Elliott is a good player and is excellent value for money. And we have missed him massively on both sides of the ball.
Anyone who doesn’t see this must have a weird af personal vendetta.
obviously you are correct. That's why Peter Sully made him a priority signing, and beat off the competition for signing this highly in demand player. - Not.

It's about value under the cap. If Elliot, Heatherington are re-signed it will mean Sully has missed his main targets and they are willing to accept a reduced offer. ( better value)

Love the Olympian gymnastics in an effort to sooth reality with confirmation bias.

Cool story - write to Sully bro, tell him about Elliot. I wonder why the recruitment guru didnt sign him already - POOR VALUE

Hey just had a great idea.

Write a forum letter to the Knights - demanding AOB's sacking, complaining about why we don't win, and at the same time demanding the re-signing of highly sought after, high value, cap friendly players like Hastings, Elliot, Hetherington - all on the same money. Could demand Sully resign also - bloke doesn't know what he's doing.

Maybe throw in some correlation = causation playing stats, just to back it all up.......

Should go over a right treat. They'll need a good belly laugh at the moment.

and .........what would that tell you? Good player? yeh sure. Asking price? too much = not good value ......jeez . It's not quantum mechanics dude, this isn't the double spilt experiment we're solving.
Or....stay with me here...just maybe...he...like Eliott....is looking for a deal that keeps him in a certain place close to something important to him...like say....family

or .....stay with me here .....just maybe .....he ......didn't accept a reduced offer last year ( to stay near say -family) ? Or maybe no offer was forthcoming. Both indicate at the present moment he's contract is not good value - genius

EDIT - wild I know

You've never negotiated a deal in your life have you

Please, keep making the same post again and again. Maybe someone stupider than you will swallow it eventually

Dr dr, please let’s have some real conversations about what is happening or not happening within the team..

you seem to be inclined to having a reaction to all that comment without telling us what you feel is needed, you seem more reactive rather than active to solutions or ideas. Concentrate more on what you think we need to be better or fix and stop making comments downgrading someone else’s opinion, bottom line “become more likeable” maybe even get nice responses
We are all aware of past failings so what’s happening in the future.
please take this as intended, a friendly advice👍👌
