"barring collapse"

Our 3 best players are out for the year.
In an already thin squad.
With a tough run home.

The expectation SHOULD be collapse.

“Collapse” would likely refer to losing the dressing room, players not trying, blow out scorelines against us, etc. rather than any expectations around number of games won.

I’m actually pretty interested to see how the players respond because if any of this is true they’ve basically got the power to get him sacked right now.

If the players were off AOB we'd be getting pumped by 50 most weeks, which obviously hasn't happened (yet).

Bit of a side note, but I was looking at the stats of 50+ scores the other day. There’s apparently been 53 occasions this decade where a team has conceded 50+ points, and Newcastle has only had it happen once against Melbourne a few years back.

It is so disrespectful toward AOB if they cannot actually tell him man to man. There is two other jobs under speculation, and he could apply for those and be a chance. It is more the fact he has had six years and taken this ship as far as he can. I am eternally grateful to him for giving us four finals appearances. It is time to move on.

Sharks put a score on us in 2016?
Its funny how times change.

Ive left 2 or 3 games early this year. One not long after half time, the Tigers game - one of the worst games I've ever seen us play in my life.

But I stayed for the whole 80 minutes of that 62 - 0 drubbing, lol.

I feel the same way you do. It’s time for both parties to move on. Regardless of how we may feel right now as a fanbase, AOB has a good record as the Knights coach in terms of getting us to the pointy end of the season and I have immense respect for him as a result. He has said some dumb stuff along the way and hasn’t helped himself from a PR perspective at times but his effort and commitment to his job and to the club can’t be questioned. He’s done his best and we’ve reached a point when someone else needs to take the reins and get us further. Simple as that.
