Absolute confusion reigns. This is by far the worst season for officiating I have seen.

I remember a Raiders V WT game in 03 or 04 where he was basically a cheat and got stood down for nearly a full year and now he is the best we got.

Pretty much, Hayne is the same referee that decided to send players off "for talking with their hands".

It's quite ironic that the NRL found someone worse than Harrigan to be the referees boss.

I honestly thought when I watched roosters v souffs at the start of the year the refereeing looked quite good, and had high hopes for the year - video ref had f**ked off that stupid benefit of the doubt crap, they were quite consistent and to be honest I hardly noticed them.

After the next game, it was all downhill, culminating in that. It seriously is at the point now where you don't have to be Johnathan Thurston to think that there is a conspiracy, it's truly awful.

Didn't think the refs were that bad tonight to be honest , they are never going to be perfect to get closer to perfection we would have to be like NFL and stop the game for 5 mins on every single play

Again the refs missed a blatant forward pass which changes the course of the game.

Not a little intriguing that for the second week in a row, the rorters managed to jag every contentious call and more than their fair share of penalties.

Amazing that they have given up so many penalties through the course of the year until the business end and then they become a team that doesn't get penalised. Either that or the refs apply a different standard.

Can't stand Hayne. No idea who's out there, but I hope to god someone can replace him as the "best referee" the game has. f**king useless merkin who calls it from his own book of rules. Though my hate does runs a little deeper than just his shit calls.

I wouldn't sack Anderson. The season started strong and then around the Test round, it started to dip.

Huh? Which game was this? The only game I remember from Hayne in '03 was the night the Eels hammered the Sharks 74-4 and Peachey was sent-off

INteresting you started to talk about cheating. As a Knights fan, I won't forget that Knights/Bulldogs game last year and how when the Knights were down on the scoreboard by quite a bit, we got all these mysterious penalties and when Ennis approached Brett Suttor, Suttor mentioned something along the lines of "the tide is turning". Always struck me as suspicious as to whether or not the penalties were contrived (even though we ended up losing the game).

Anyway, I though the Roosters deserved to win, but they did get the rub of the green. Manly had enough ball in the last 15 to score but couldnt.

Is break in the plays that horrible? You will never get a game referred both perfectly & instantly.
