Hate to say it, but I think we haved forfeited the right to be involved in the iconic Anzac Day match now that the contest is so uneven and has been for a number of seasons. The 35,000 fans and returned soldiers deserve more than to see a side get flogged by 30 points every year given the importance of the occassion. The club should be ashamed of for turning this match into a farce...
100%. I'd prefer not to be in the spotlight. They should let bunnies play Chooks on Anzac day, or Penrith v Roosters. At least would be a good contest.

I think this story is symptomatic of the problems at the dragons and Flanagan's unwillingness to integrate young players into the first grade squad -

Not saying necessarily he should be in first grade, but when you apparently can't get an answer from the coach as to what you have to do (as in improve on) to make it to first grade, to me, that's damning.
He did the same to Illias ........ After 3 games and never saw him again .......

Look at Manly.
We lose 10 in a row and still the coach stays.
The hierarchy are morons who cant see change is needed.
Flano has lost the dressing room.
Yes Jeff, Manly's season is still alive because they bit the bullet and got rid of their dud coach.

Our BOD sit around with their hands on their dicks for 9-10 weeks until making a decision. By delaying the inevitable we are edging closer to our first wooden spoon each week.

One lucky win isn't going to save this fraud, he needs to be pissed off immediately, I'll pay for his Uber home to Cronulla once he gets his marching orders 👍

I'm Hornby, I'm going to throw another view at this. Whispers are coming out that a very deep dive into a number of issues are going on at the minutes, led by Watsford and Creagh. Make of that what you will. But is it the case that announcements will be made on a number of positions post Anzac Day? I can't see us being anything better than 0-8 at that point, and may be that triggers the "night of the long knives" and a number of people will be exiting stage door left (Flanagan & Haran). Your comment about the BOD "sitting around" is correct AND the reason we need ONE owner. Our ownership structure makes it impossible to make necessary and nimble decisions. I'm looking for one ray of light, and IF we are 0-8 post Anzac Day that should/will/hopefully trigger a mass clean out.

Just read an article on 9 Sports where Wayne Bennett discussing Matt Dufty. Bennett said how well he is playing in reserve grade which is a pretty high standard. Our reserves are in second spot But our coach says no one good enough coming through.
SF talks a load of crap at most of his press conferences, certainly opens his mouth with little real thought into what he is saying.
Foot in mouth disease.

I could not force myself to watch this.
Maloney has had an axe to grind with SF for years.
Like BHunt.

To balance the argument,
it is said that Maloney was upset when SF did not extend his contract.
Maloney is one of the "go-to men" when a "journo??" is looking for supposed inside (negative) comments about SF.
These people don't want a balanced discussion.
They are chasing clicks, piling on and running their own agenda..

The same journos(??) should ask Gal what he thinks.
Then I would listen.

Also, Reed to 7. Kyle to 14.

I don't understand Dragons waiting till after Anzac day. They do know that if a new coach comes in before then they may get a $hite more Dragons supporters to that game. If Flanno is still there, it will be all Roosters fans and if that is the case the stadium will look pretty empty if every one of the 10k Roosters supporters turn up.

At the heart of Flanno's selection policy is the inclusion of Kyle in the halves. So nepotism is what will eventually bring Flanagan to his knees.

If Only Kyle was 10 years older, then the Sharks would still be one of the clubs with 0 premierships.....Damn. This is what made Flanno successful then and such a disaster now. Nepotism at it's best. He is blinded by it.

Points taken.... But objectively what he stated was correct....
