Based on that pattern, shouldn't we be thinking or hoping that we WILL get worse than Griffin?

I mean, hoping for improvement over the last 11 years hasn't helped.
Agree ...there is no magic bullet.....The Post Bennett years have damaged the club beyond belief...next appointment is make or break...it will take Years to undo the damage...

I'm not holding my breath....as someone once stated...there is a stench of Newtown about the Place...

Surely StG officials know Griffin has to go immediately. Appoint a new recruitment manager and interim coach if the preferred full time coach is currently unavailable and allow them time to recruit and re -sign players for next year. Lomax may not have been playing well but his replacement has been awful.
why Amone has not been dropped defies logic. Misses tackles and never makes a break meanwhile Sullivan fresh off 2 tries last week plays 20 minutes yesterday. Clearly The old droner has an issue with him or is it simply Hunt wanting the #7 ? Constantly playing favourites over more suitable players is no way to coach a football team.
So come on someone in charge and piss Griffin off.

Regardless of what happens, the only thing I can see happening in the future is Hunt making a move to the chooks. He ain’t going to play hooker under Hook and any new coach would not want to lose Bud. Solution is to f**k off Amone otherwise the Chooks beckon. With both Walker and Smith on the outer funds could be freed for a 2 year stint, ala Cronk.
Mitchell Pearce back to the Chooks.
That is there 35 Year half back
We will retain Hunt or sign Thurston except only 5-10 years too late
TBH there are no other 7's out there
Why do you think clubs are lining up for Sullo without playing hardly any football?
We better keep both if we have any brains ATM for the short term
Brad Arthur's son is about to be snapped up by another club.. fed dinkum
Clubs are signing old ones or taking a risk on a young rookie like the Dogs and Dolphins and player managers now this
Hynes right now can name his price that is why Sharks extended him so early
we will see what happens
The available NRL player talent is dwindling

What players are available?

Hunt has publicly and repeatedly said he ‘doesn’t want’ to play 9. No consideration of what might be best for the team.

It has been obvious for years that 9 is his best position. It has also been obvious that Sullivan needs to play more and is the future half.

I agree that these decisions are Griffin’s. But Hunt is not a powerless bystander. He’s a $1m player and leader who has decided he wants to be ‘the halfback’ rather than do what is best for the team.
He is a 5/8 and Liddell has got to be in the side

2020 - Griffin likes tweets by Hanson, Latham, various racist memes, conspiracies about China and so on

Also 2020 - Dragons decide this prick is the right guy to rebuild club culture.

2023 - Kerr, Sloan and Sullivan separately talk about needing to 'clear the air' with him to not be excluded.

You don't have to connect many dots here.

2012 - Sacked Dane Gagai at the Broncos

The treatment of Sullivan yesterday reminded me of when Gagai was hooked by Griffin at halftime for dropping a high ball.
Gagai was only playing his 5th game of first grade at the time.
Fortunately Wayne Bennett ended up saving Gagai’s career.

The Dragons are so stale that you need a coaching appointment that will totally clean our and revolutionise the place to bring it from 1970 to somewhere in the 2000s. Find whoever the leading female coach in NRLW is and appoint her. It would show that the club is serious about modernising.

Our club didn't do a quality check up on Hook before they gave him the job. They also extended his contract to the end of 2023 before a ball was kicked in 2022's comp.

Our Board is guilty of gross negligence and mismanagement. Fire them now!

Weidler, Rothfield and the others are all just guessing. They are just lining up to say I told you so, aren't I clever. But I doubt they have any idea. Given how our Board thinks, it wouldn't surprise me if they said they will retain Griffin until the end of the year in line with prior commitments made to Hook, and in the interest of team stability. Things have to get a lot more rotten before a Board will admit they made a mistake.
