Yep, good idea. Give Ben the week off to come to terms with the fact that he doesn't run the club.

I've never seen him as a 7 or a 9. I reckon he's a rolled gold 6.

I really don't want either , but if I have to pick , it would be Hornby on a 2 year deal , with the club's option for a 3rd , If its Ryles he wants 5 years ..... Both are unknown as coaches

The SGI Board have sacked Griffin (about time) BUT in another show of stupidity have given the job to assistant coach Ryan Carr as an interim. An outsider should have been brought in- fresh eyes without biases was what was needed.

Aren’t they going to bring an outsider next year? If they could, they’d bring him in immediately. But for now, they’ll need to make do with what they have.

I’m not going to rejoice over a bloke losing his job. But something needed to happen. Hopefully this is the circuit breaker we need.

I’m very interested in the team that is announced today.
I’d have Liddle 9, Sully 6, Ben 7 (you know he will be), Mbye 14, Amone 18. Lomax back as the right centre.

^ that’s partly what I’d do and partly what I think they will do.

***2000th Post Celebration***

I’ve been saving my 2000th post milestone for this great occasion, despite all the initial optimism including mine Griffin’s tenure has been nothing less than a dumpster fire.

Who knows what happens from here but I feel better days are ahead! The only way is up, I’m looking forward to the team list this afternoon, hopefully Liddle is back & Mybe to NSW Cup.

I don't care when the next coach announcement is made now, as long as Hook is no longer coach. Players that get dirty at the club for sacking Hook can join him. Bird, Hunt and Mbye will save the Dragons a heap of cap space if they kick stones so let them go on the market but I really hope they stay for the ride as they will get better under a proper system.

St George Illawarra captain Ben Hunt was understandably fuming at the way the club has handled the situation .........Benny , Benny , Benny stop sooking again and get on with it ...... The door is big enough for you both to go at the same time , if your not happy ........

I'm glad that hook has been sacked, but I also understand why Hunt is fuming if, and I stress if, the club handled this as was reported in that article.

Now Griffin’s gone there’s no rush to announce who’s taking over from 2024. I also think it’ll be Ryles, from what I read he wants 5yrs & full autonomy so they’ll be a lot of details to hammer out.
