Last year only....He has been the king of deflection....and the board are responsible for extending him prematurely...........even if we some how scrap into the 8 , he shouldn't have been re-signed. Making the 8 will only keep the status quo in place.

Problem is that if they sack him, with Daley now available, the club has a history of employing dopes.

The only difference is the weight of expectation would be reversed and McGregor would have almost no excuses.
Everyone would expect the Storm to make the top 2 or 4 and McGregor would have them bombing out of the finals.
Now, they have spun the "wooden spoon contenders" BS at the beginning of the season so even if we comes in 10th or 11th, it will be hailed as "better than expected".
If we scrape into the 8 it will be heralded as total vindication for persevering with a "career coach" and his undoubted potential to lead the club to further glory playing his brand of "Dragons Footy".
