I think it is pretty safe to say that every fan on here was pretty coy about putting their full backing behind Mary even when we were going good guns mid way through the season. When we went a little further than usual at first place it was an unusual feeling but not altogether comfortable one. I think that just goes to show the trauma he has caused us. And guess what - here we are again.

I am passionate like most here. I am not stupid and I generally don't act rashly, but I am getting to the stage I will give up watching Dragons games or supporting the club if this man isn't done away with at the end of this year.

I began this thread 3 or 4 seasons ago (under an old nickname) after we were towelled by a woeful Manly team when we should have been stamping home some authority. Six and half thousand posts later not a thing has changed in terms of the culture or prospects of our club under Paul McGregor. The media love Mary because he is generous with his time, the players seem to like him, but anyone watching from the outside with a vested interest in the club can see his appointment for what it is - an utterly diabolical decision.

We had the personnel but lacked the coaching smarts/experience we needed to take advantage of the quality squad we had at our disposal. Sound familiar??? SOS Creeping (again). Come home Benny! I fail to see your sarcasm.
We have failed to fire a shot in the last 10 weeks.
We were lucky to beat the Dogs and the Eels, we got pumped by the Tigers and taught a lesson about enthusiasm and team play this week.
We have been down on performance and plans for 2 months and we have a coaching staff who refuse to see the obvious and make any changes.

If you really think we finish higher than 6th and go out in the first week of the finals I don’t know who you’ve been watching play.

See there is the difference between you and me.
I haven't given up and never will because I don't accept the performances and call them out for what they are "poor".
I still support and cheer for my side but am of the opinion that a few wins this year and a few more wins next year, without being real threats is something that should be condoned as a successful approach.
Some of the younger people in here have never been exposed to the really dark days when we had one match left in the pocket to try and reignite the fire after a bleak, windy and rainy season.
We never gave up, we actually guarded the flame and still continue to do so.

We lack the cattle in the centres and on at least one wing, but Mary continues to select the wrong cattle in those positions, so he must take responsibility for those continued poor selections.
