If you are unable to get a team up for todays game not to get smashed surely, you have to ask questions about your ability.

It's up to Mary know. Please prepare the team to go deep into finals or give it away.
Surely McGregor has missed his flight, he is like the desert, the McGregor matrix, drowning of energy, no accountability, like the desert very 1 dimensional, makes people hallcinate, he is the true legend of Used Car Salesman!

They started poorly, again, no enthusiasm or drive.
We thought the try before half time would spark them up?
They started the second half with the same lack of energy.

Mary’s pep talks must be a real treat.

They also spend the second most amount of money in their league.

In saying that I do agree somewhat with your point. We can’t forever accept mediocrity. This season for me is Mcgregor’s last chance. I didn’t believe at the start of the season we had a top 4 team and still don’t. However he has gotten us here so he now needs to finish the season strong.. something that he has never achieved before.

He can prepare the team for a new year, guide the club through the SOO period and up until yesterday have the skills to allow the team to perform with the top teams.

The team was in a position to score more points in the first half however, it came down to Ben Hunt to score.

It may come down to that he has hit his limit of his ability in his coaching evolution. We should make the semis however, that may be the best it will get.

I will be stunned if McGregor has the wherewithal to turn the ship, he has shown for years to be one dimensional and although it works for a while it doesn't work eventually as shown by multiple years of similar pattern. This is a team of good quality players being severely constrained by the limitations of their coach.

It is been written quite a few times that other clubs have woken up to our weakness and have exploited our one dimensional attack and defence.
What is going to happen in 2019. Will the power game repeat the same start as 2018. I doubt it.
Moving forward as McIdiot loves to quote our whole playing squad needs to be assessed to determine what players are to be retained and who should be let go.
This year the club has failed to give our rising stars any meaningful time on the park to assess who is ready to make the jump to first grade.
Lomax looks ready as well as Lucky Luc, he has improved leaps and bounds. It’s time for the hard decisions to be made.
I thought this season was really going to be the stepping stone for a premiership in 2019.
McIdiot is not the coach to do this. How many other clubs do you see that have players under 21 in their squad. A lot.
Millward needs to be looking at getting two front row forwards with first grade experience.
I love my team as we all do.
The weak link with the club is our coaching staff. As long as we retain that group I dont see the club being a strong contender for a premiership in the next few years.
I hope our new CEO can address where we are at and where we are going and make decisions that need to be made.

Interesting article in the SMH yesterday about the surging Roosters, and their so-called 'coach whisperer', Particularly this bit:

'Words like “hope”, “want” and “maybe” are banned.'

Quotes from Dragons players today in this Herald article

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/dr...ink-they-re-still-on-top-20180731-p4zuoi.html

"The result went against us on the weekend [against the Roosters]. But are we looking at it thinking we've got no hope? Absolutely not."
"We want to improve but we don't need to stress"
"Just like earlier this year when we weren't getting carried away with ourselves, and maybe people externally were, we know it's not as bad as what those same people are saying now.''

It is going to be hard to repeat our start this season in 2019. This thread could reach new heights next season if he is still the coach.

Dude in context there is nothing wrong with the use of want, hope, maybe in that passage.
Its not like they have said we hope we can bounce back, maybe we can improve and we want to win.
Then you may have a point.

Maybe they’ve hired Yoda? “Do, or do not. There is no try”
It makes for nice buzzwords this stuff but there’s plenty of other ways to build self belief. I don’t believe Graham has ever relied on hoping and wanting - he works his arse off - and whether he uses the wrong words is pretty irrelevant.
