Anyway, this just confirms that I will not be renewing my membership.

What a load of sh!t. I had never opted in for automatic renewal.

Needless to say, they will be receiving a call from me to OPT OUT of automatic renewals and cancel my membership.

Brilliant timing for the announcement. Obviously the external communications consultant guided the club on this one.
For all the publicity and rumours around our financial situation they employ more bodies when from a financial point may it may have been more cost effective to terminate the drunkard.
So "This group will update and involve nominated Board Members Brian Johnston, Graeme Gulloch and Peter Doust, as and where necessary". Were the Board blind, uninformed, oblivious to what happened this year? FFS what next?

Well I can't say I'm surprised that the board and club management have arrived at this decision, as incomprehensible as it is.

I guess now the best we can hope for is that the club are smart enough at least to appoint people around him that will ensure the types of decisions that were needed at times this season, but Mary failed to make, are indeed made next year in order to avoid the same result.

Cleary as coaching director and JD as full time assistant coach would be good start.

Not the news I was expecting, it is a Very Dark Day for all Dragons supporters today with that announcement that Mcgregor will be coach for 2017.

I am to angry and shattered at this moment to even think, I can not see me following the NRL next year, after 53 years of following the Mighty Dragons this news is like a knife in the heart to us all and I dare say to the Dragons future as a club

I posted a few weeks back along the lines of 'each to his own, but I'll feel like a fairweather supporter if I don't renew my membership for 2017'. Well I've changed my mind. I can accept losing. I can accept having a crap squad. But people running the club are now so transparent in their self-interest and are not even interested in trying to win, that I won't feel badly at all when I take up membership in 2018 having already cancelled 2017.

Maybe we can fill a void by going to watch the Cutters in 2017?

I'm absolutely gutted and can't believe the stupidity of the Board to allow this bullsh!t decision.

It's obvious that the Board do NOT listen to the fans and have there own agenda's, I only hope when this sh!tty decision backfires on them (and it will) that they are all then accountable for wasting another 12 months.

It states that 11th is unacceptable however let's continue along with what we have, great recipe for success.

Bullsh!t decision Dragons Board, grow a pair and show some strong leadership.
