I've read a lot of Dragons media releases over the years and by design they tend to be dry reading, but that looks like they are feeling the pressure.

On the sales pitch front, it was par for the course. They of course fail to acknowledge that this just isn't about 2020. It is about years of failure. We narrowly avoided the spoon in 2019, but hey, don't mention that.

And as for "loyalty, strength and commitment"... this time the old party line looked double-edged to me. Partly it revealed a bit of a split amongst the players, Club personnel and hierarchy. But also, a little backhander to anyone who disagrees with the board decision. Sadly, the latter is where they'll dig their trench and wait out the barrage.

We all call for the coaches head but how does Millward keep slipping under the radar all the time? seriously the bloke leaves train wrecks everywhere, has decimated the roster, cut deals, promised the world and continues to get away almost unscathed. shows how bad the coach is that a bloke like Millward slips under the radar after how many years!!! We know that the system at the Dragons was set up that recruitment was to be taken off the coaches hands and put into Millwards so surely this bloke must be on the chopping block also? interesting another case of jobs for the boys as I understand that Dousts resigned him as a parting jester when he left.. I think you and I are the only members on here that understand how these Illawarra old boy imposters are getting away with murder. Doust did a deal with the Gordons which assured noses in the trough would not be disturbed.

Board doesn't have to pay out a million bucks, and doesn't have to do any hard work like finding a new coach. No crowd protests possible at games so they can comfortably lay low for a bit. Blame already being shifted to the senior players.

Gould intimated that much of what he said to the BOD has not in fact been done.

Gould for confidentiality reasons will not out them, obviously they will not out themselves so the only person that could out them for ignoring important & long outstanding issues was the coach himself.

The BOD's action today have ensured no leaks and kept it all in club.

Anyone who thinks that the Gordon & their cohorts don't have a real agenda and pathway to get there is sadly mistaken and in fact delusional.

I suspect their cards will only be revealed after the 100 year mark is passed for St George as the outrage at doing anything to further undermine St George before then would have been heavily protested by fans and media alike.

Strap yourselves in for the next 1.75 years of Mc Fookknuckle and then make up your mind if the Illawarra Dragons is the team for you.

All the whinging that us supporters have written on this Sack McGregor thread and others on this Forum since 2016 have been a complete waste of time and energy. Good to get frustration off our chests but we just don't have any influence on what goes on with the BOD at SGI. We can scream and shout, not renew memberships and complain as much as we want to but it just falls on deaf ears.

I am wondering what the BOD has told him - get good results for the balance of this year or get the sack at the end of 2020.

Make no mistake this is purely a penny pinching exercise by the Gordon's. no crowds, no hit to gate revenue. Sack him at the end of the year to save $ compared to a payout now. Purely a financial cost benefit analysis. Assholes, not sure about anyone else, but i am fkn furious.

Looking at the $$$ first was always on the cards.

It'll be cheaper to sack him after this season, that is if he doesn't cost them too much money between now and then.

Sorry New Dragon....Many incorrect assumptions...
1/. Coach still tells Millward what players to get...I'll quote McGregor...This squad has my fingerprints all over it...
2/. No one wants to come and play for us..translates into having to pay overs...again buck stops with the coach...
3/. Millwards hands are tied.... This has been discussed on here many times...judge millward when we have a decent coach...by the looks of things that will not happen any time soon...

You should be aiming your arrows at THE BOARD.....they are solely responsible for the mess we are in....
