I’m a well known Demetriou sceptic, and I’ve not seen anything to change my mind about him.

One pedantic correction needs to be made from a previous post. While Demetriou is a St. George junior, he’s on record stating he supported the Tigers while growing up. An “old boy”, he ain’t.

If he’s got the goods, then I imagine Bennett will offer him at Souths next year. Somehow, I doubt this will transpire.

And of course, Demetriou was ignored by the Broncos.

His reputation is exaggerated.

I don't know about that. Gordon said there is no hurry to make a decision on an extension. He indicated that the Board would re-visit this subject later on in season 2019.

So maybe Toovey with JD and Barrett as assistants.

I hope nothing is done until half way through the season. I don’t think we can start 2019 like 2018 and that could be a factor in extending or letting him go

I reckon I have found the solution to this problem , why don’t we all donate a few bob and buy the poor sod a decent hairpiece ? I mean if you look at the best coaches in the NRL and you will notice that they all have hair , it warms the old noggin up on those cold winter days thus ensuring that they do not make any silly rash decisions that will will cost their team the match , as I said simple .

Same team, same coach, easier draw. Why would anything change?

The funny thing is if you listen to him and the HPU talk about being positive for 2019 (which I undestand what else could they say), lessons learned and we are better steeled after what we went through last year, things have been put in place yadayada. Mary wont be sacked anytime soon , it wasnt done when it should have been .... So as Crush has mentioned dont be surprised if he gets another extension ..... They have invested to much in him to flick him .... Im not a Mary fan either way he is here to stay .......
