Red V for life

I was disappointed when the team was announced, but the 17 players did not disappoint.

The mongrel attitude the 17 showed. The halves playing at the line. The forwards absolutely dominating. The defence. It is the first complete game I've seen from the red v in some time.

That is the benchmark now. Let's roll!!!

Now must back it up next week

Exactly mate . I know that some of us maybe getting a bit enthusiastic about the result , but what the hell . We all needed this , to perk us up and more importantly to realise that as has already been said on numerous occasions , that we do indeed ' have the cattle '
As you say Sammy , the team needs to continue to play the same , otherwise today's result will mean nothing . But for now let's enjoy the moment .

Well everyone, apart from a few little error I thought the lads put in an exceptional performance.
Everyone played well but I do want to give honourable mentions to Duges, McInnes and JDB.
The talent is their as long as the desire is their.
Early days but could not of asked for a better start to the season especially against the premiership favourites.
Well done !!

Gareth for me it was soooo good not to see our 6 and 7 running sideways with no idea what to do . Now what we need is a bit of time for young Field to settle in as he could be a match winner coming off the bench , and a plan B if plan A is not working and who knows .... Sorry guys I've lost it after 1 win ..... ;)

I agree guys McInness, Vaughn and JDB really stood up and were the difference between the two teams. We had the advantage right from the start and didn't change.

I am a bit cautious about our prospects though, the back line other than Duges and Nene didn't look dangerous.

The halves did great though.

Congrats to Jai Field, and good on Mary for debuting him so early. That may as well have been a gesture just to the fans.

The aggression the forwards showed was the platform for the backs to perform...The desire to win has to be maintained...I guess once teams know we are just gong thru the forwards they have to man up and if they do we may be in trouble...but at this stage
Vaughan
Packer
Frizzel
Thompson
Simms
JDB
are all beasts..

Host looked scratchy so maybe when Masoe is fit he slots in just to give us more massive size....no room for Luciano at this stage as this forward pack is based on aggression....

I said it a while back I can imagine if anyone man handled young Field as they would have the above boys to deal with and didn't the look menacing and aggressive...
