I think once Sharp is done, he's done. He's never seemed interested in forming a faction and stinking up the place for a decade after his time's up.

I'm not as sure about Issa... I can see a potential for him to join one of the two factions that won't go away.

lol Issa he's worse than chairman dodgy

The defiant stand came despite Fox Sports being told the NRL was seriously considering suspending Sharp, Eels CEO Boulos and other directors for 12 months if the salary cap rorting allegations are proven correct.
Well if true, that'd be one way for the NRL to smoothly manage the transition to three year terms/annual elections, with a mix of independent appointees...

The NRL is now in possession of all of the Eels board room meeting minutes from the last three years.
That finally puts them on the same page as the leakers... now the NRL can check through in proper context, rather than focus on sensationalist tidbit extracts.

If the NRL think that these practices or similar are not taking place at other clubs, then they are basically f..ked in th head

It's the constant sniping from those who resent the current board and use their mates in the media to run this sh.t stirring. Will no doubt get some serves from the anti board brigade, but with the majority of the stuff coming from the past, it's hard not to be ticked off

BF! Don't know , but I know Ossie, and he told me several times that it was a great job, but as soon as he started the best known suspect just commenced a back ground war of leaks and backstabbing

Said until he is no longer on this planet there won't be peace, he acknowledged that there were mistakes , but said outside of the club and job, no one understands just how much energy is spent fending off those who want to bring the incumbents undone for their own purpose

that is just pathetic if true

Unfortunately, it is true .. Ossie now has nothing to do with footy, even his boys no longer play, said it sucked all his interest out of the game

I don't blame him.
Our club is a f**king disgrace.
I feel for the players and coaches.
The rest can go and get f**ked.

Well said. And while the NRL are checking the full records in proper context maybe the media might wish to grab a few more headlines by in depth interviews with Fitzgerald and Spags -- provided they swear on the bible to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
