Yes, running and putting a hit on the back of Jennings like Thaiday did is far more dangerous.

If you think Jennings is worse that's your opinion but what is Jennings going to do with a flying punch, at the very worst he'd have knocked Tate unconscious.

Where as Thaidays actions the other year could have could serious, prolonged injury, because of the nature of the hit.

You really think hitting a bloke in the back when he can't see you coming and punching someone in the head have the same potential for long term damage. Are you thick?

What the hell?? Are YOU thick??

What you're saying is: A shoulder charge to the back of someone, is far more dangerous, and far more likely to cause severe long term effects, than blind side punching someone in the back of the head and knocking them unconscious.

I would say that this is literally the dumbest thing I've now read on this forum. Not only is this statement complete and utter bullshit based off nothing more than the delusions of someone who can now only be described as a half wit, but it is so factually incorrect that I would not be surprised if you woke up this morning and literally thought you were an onion.

I've had no beef with you before, but you've just proven yourself. I would strongly suggest you creep away quietly while you're well behind.

How many League players in the history of the game have been seriously injured from being punched in the head.

Now tell me how many have been seriously injured from taking a hit in the back.

Plenty have been permanently scarred from copping hits to the head. Have a close up look at Ashton Simms face next time you watch a Cowboys game and look for the scar on his chin.

Then do us all a favour and go and read some medical journals on the effects of blows to the head, particularly blows to the back of the head.

Seriously, if I had to choose between copping a shoulder charge to the back or a punch to the back of the head, it's the shoulder charge every time.

Perhaps the effects of prolonged and sustained head trauma have begun to take effect on you, hence your replies?

at the very worst, he suffers an epidural hematoma and dies.

Rugby League seems to be about the only sport I can think of that lets players get back up and keep playing after being knocked unconscious. In boxing or MMA, it's mandatory weeks from any contact training, and in some cases months before they're allowed to fight again by the governing organisations for those sports.

harden up mate

Judging from your attitude you're the type of person who condones elbows straight to the face of the opponent, and to hell with the concussions and brain injuries. You probably thought the Matt Prior hit on JT was fair game and play on.

Good luck with all of that.

I think you miss the crucial point here.
Rugby League does not have, never has had and never will have punching someone anywhere as a skill/tactic. It should never happen on the field.
It should always be dealt with as severely as possible and stamped out of the game.

It's ot actually anything that should ever be tolerated in any place on this earth. And so called 'fans' of the game who believe it shouldn't be dealt with as severely as possible have no respect for the players on field or the game itself.

So while you sit here wasting space debating which 'wrong' is "ok" ; which one 'will just leave a player unconscious', I suggest you stop & take a breath and read what it is you are promoting. Because you are doing just that, you're saying it's not quite right but it's ok, we'll accept that behaviour.

And further more you bring up history all the time; past years etc. Talk about the here & now. What's happened cannot be changed. Judge the players & the teams of the present day. I daresay most of your 'heroes' have bad things in their past. If they've changed & seen a better way to play, then good on them. It's the ones who are still doing crap like Jennings' unwarranted actions that CAN and SHOULD be dealt with now.

Make an example of thugs & get rid of them because no-one can be coached to deal with garbage like that on the field while they are trying to concentrate on their brilliant skills of the game.

Stop idolising the Biff. That is such a dated & low view of the game.

Yeah......Masoe & his babies quite often get UFC fighting mixed up with playing RL.

It's the sure sign of someone who's backed the losing team for 6 years in a row.

Actually I should change that last statement :
"Don't idolise what the Biff has become these days, it's not " the Biff" any more, just pure thuggery."
The good old days had "the Biff" now there are just lame imitations.
