Finally with Griffin gone, Liddle makes back to the team. So does Lomax, he was a decent player until Griffin messed it up - playing him the wrong side of the field and forcing him to change his kicking style (It is like switching from right hand to left hand driving and vice versa). Hopefully, the club will move quickly on the FG coach and recruitment officer so that we can look forward for next year. However, I hope with Hook gone, players play for the team and we put some wins together.

Mostly happy with the team selection. Amone isn’t playing well enough but just keeps getting picked. I might prefer a switch with de Belen to 13 and Molo to 8. Not sure what the stats are on teams winning after a coach sacking, but if the boys have been off their game becuase of Hook, Friday night is a great opportunity to show their true colours. The chooks are not playing well and if we get our heads right maybe we can steal the win

I'm not expecting miracles, but I want to see a whole hearted effort. The players need to be reminded that most of them are now playing for future contracts and who ever is the new coach will probably be watching very closely, maybe even closer than they think come Friday.
It’s quite appropriate that we play the chooks this week. Ryles will get a first hand view of his future charges and they will be out to impress as they should be!
They are all part of the hook demise in one way or another. It would be refreshing to see the old dragon spirit again instead of all the stone kicking of late.

Griffin gone, some dumb selections reversed... and being Indigenous round, the most joyful player ever to don the red V is returning to Kogarah as a guest for the night. The great Nathan Blacklock. Absolute legend. Should be a happy night regardless, but let's hope the team gives us something to somersault about

I listened to that podcast earlier this week. It was fantastic. Apparently he didn't know that he featured prominently in a mural put up in the Premier's Lounge at St George Leagues Club.

Crazy isn't it. Hopefully he checks it out.

I liked his comments about Sloan as well. I've heard Tingha on a previous Dragons podcast and thought he'd be an excellent voice to have on a coaching staff, especially for young indigenous kids. He's a smart passionate guy who worked extremely hard to be the player he became.

What a pleasure it was to watch Tingha play for the Dragons! A great talent and a humble guy. @Victoire 's suggestion of using him to help mentor our young up and coming indigenous kids is a terrific idea. I hope it happens.

I'm giving Amone the BOTD at least for a couple more games.

He may have been hamstrung by Griffin, told not to get too involved etc (I'm only guessing here). So let's see how he goes over the next 2 weeks. In saying that, I think we all need him to show significant improvement and involvement, and we saw glimpses of that last year.

So, I give him 2 games.
