Sandow: Blinder or bomb?

One thing about Sandow that I won't forget is that after he had signed for the Eels, he played his best footy for us, especially noteworthy considering all the guys we had out.

He could have been a soft c**k like Idris, but he tried his guts out until the end.

I hope the kid all the best, but playing behind a pack that doesn't get a roll on or get down the other end much doesn't help.

Anyone who hates Chrissy from Souths just has the wrong mindset IMO. He is a great footballer to watch and I really hope he finds some form soon

Tonight was the first time I've seen him look so happy on the footy field. He just looked happy to be playing on the same field as a lot of his mates. I actually thought he played a good game besides his defence, and a few lucky bounces could have seen him beat us single handedly.

Parra would have been better off keeping Robson. His style suits what Kearney wants to do, and he's doing great at Cronulla.

Kearney knew what style he wanted and he went and chose the worst possible halfback for what he wanted.

Is that why Robson did so well under Kearney last year? Did his style suit Kearney last year? If Robson is so good why didn't he lead Cronulla to victory a fortnight ago when Carney was off for the night?

I'd still take Sandow back if I could. I think he'd be a fantastic five-eight while leaving Reynolds to control the majority of the kicking and run the plays.

I also think his defence has gone backwards from last year where he was showing some signs of improvement (like actually tackling with his arms). While Maguire has managed to improved the poor defence of Issac Luke and Dave Taylor, Kearney has done nothing for Sandow

He is (statistics back it up) one of the worst defenders in the league. And he added little to nothing in attack to make up for it.

That intercept did stop a try. Good on him. He earned 1 or 2 repeat sets. Good on him.

None of that begins to make up for all the bad he did. He contributed to letting in 3 tries, and it should have been 4 as a try was disallowed for no good reason.

You listen to that Clown Daley too much. Taylor didnt impede Sandow at all. But he did turn around and push Luke Burt who was flying in to make the tackle.

And the Eels look half decent in attack when Roberts gets the ball, their attack dies when Sandow gets it. Then add that to his turnstile defense and what do you have?

Look everyone is saying me being harsh on him is because of resentment or whatever, but that couldn't be further from the proof. I was upset 12 months ago that he left. But now I'm so glad, him leaving let us find a much better option in his position.

I want him to do well, I have nothing personal against him, he helped the club by leaving. But while he was with us I supported him, even while mad at all the things he did wrong. But I excused them because I thought it was the club or John Lang who were at fault. But then he moved and he's even worse.

He frustrates me because he has talent, but week after week he proves he just doesn't care. A clear example of that was his smirk and not running at 100% speed when he had a chance to put his team within 6.

Excuse us if we weren't overly optimistic about a player who never played first grade and had a year off with an ACL.

He's been beyond even my expectations and I'm the most optimistic Souths supporter ever.
