Good on him tbh. Got the coin he wanted. I dont think anyone can begrudge him taking that kind of money. Still will be one of my favourite players though!

Bad luck boys. We were just too desperate and our new board had their balls in a vice and it was tightening if they did not deliver. As I said in another thread when you have Inglis, Asotasi, Burgess and Taylor taking up most of your cap something had to give.

Good luck for the rest of the year.

CCJames,

As a Dragons supporter, It's just that I don't understand your managements logic in all this...

I thought that maybe with Maguire coming to your club next year that Sandow would be kept in the halves and you might pick up and/or bring up a new 5/8. Sutton could go to lock. Thought that would be a good start to solving some of your issues and a new beginning.

But now it seems Souths are putting all their eggs in Sutton's basket - my god! what a huge risk IMO.

Sutton, I believe is never going to get any better than he is now. He's had so many years to prove himself.

Sandow is definitely going to get better - there is already some signs this year.

I hope for Souths sake that Maguire is a miracle worker...

Just my opinion

If thats the case NewcastleRabbit, he must think he can do something with him in the halves.

Maybe you guys will just have to use our dragons mantra when Bennett came to our club - "In Maguire (Wayne) We Trust".

Actually now that you mention it I think Maguire was actually not all that keen on Sandow. I seem to remember Sandows manager actually coming out saying "I think Maguire would be good for Sandow, and Sandow would be good for Maguire" or something like that. Which implied he was worried Sandow would not get a renewed contract.

Chris Sandow 29th March 2011
"I would love to stay at the Rabbitohs, there's a good culture here and I love everyone involved with South Sydney"
"This is where I started my career and I want it to end here but like I said before I just got to take each game as it comes and go from there."
"A lot of great players have come here and I want to stay here for the rest of my life."

Chris Sandow 4th May 2011:
"It's not about the cash. I just want a new journey, new start for my life and hopefully I play good footy there"

Saying it's not "about the cash" when it clearly is annoys me, but it seems like everybody says it these days, from Chris Sandow to Wayne Bennett.
