I'm not going to pick a score, but I will say this. I honestly fear the Raiders more than most other sides...purely because if you drop your intensity they won't grind over the top of you to try and build pressure like Melbourne or Manly....they'll simply blow you off the park. They can easily score 20-30 points in a 15 minute period (as we saw when we were on the end of a 24 nil scoreline after 12 minutes at Bruce two years back) and we haven't exactly found ourselves playing with intensity for 80 minutes thus far...

That said, they don't travel too well so that definitely plays to our advantage, and they definitely don't like playing at Parramatta...

It'll be a good effort for Josh to score first in NRL, that should pay a f**kin mint!

"Players not quoted" - used to always pay about $14 for a dollar, and be a good bet when Smithy was naming his teams.

Will be there...

Traditionally we get below average crowds for Raiders games (last year we got just over 10k - though that was a long weekend) but with a fair weather forecast for Saturday, a good win last week and the fact that it's the first home game of the season may mean something substantially higher.

Hope you're not an Hagan fan too:crazy:

I'm pretty sure we would be perfect lovers then.

Good to see im not the only Villa fan in the world lol:D

An Eelvilla fan. Excellent. Too bad Villa have been on the slide lately but, oh how that champions league sport would have been beautiful. There is still hope! :sarcasm:

Does everyone want to have a catch up before the game as well. That way people can make either the before or after. What time peoples. Sterlos Bar on the Balcony.

Crowd = 12,465
First Tryscorer : Grothe (Tempted to say Mateo but sticking with the Guru).
Score : Eels 26 Raiders 12
First Person Drunk : Jesseel
Man on the hill in business attire : Suitman
Person in the crowd most likely to have a 3P banner : Gronk

Hey Col...there is a suggestion out there that we may hit Sterlos after the game, that is off course if it's still open at that time.

not planning on drinking this weekend :D

first person to swear at security will be Hellsy - Even money bet.

Col, the only thing catching up before the game is difficult, because some get to the ground for Gates Open, some for NYC, some only for First Grade. But i'd love to catch up with everyone on the balcony after the game?? Hopefully there'd be some sort of a replay on!

Honestly, why would anyone want to spoil a good night at the footy by attending the Leagues Club?

Just trying to drum up some business SDM - the balcony at Sterlos is not bad at all, you can nearly forget where you are!

Trading Hours - http://www.parraleagues.com.au/index.cfm?page_id=1081&page=Trading+Hours

Sterlo’s Sports Bar

Monday
4.00pm - 9.30pm
Tuesday & Wednesday
4.00pm - 10.00pm
Thursday & Friday
4.00pm - 11.00pm
Saturday
11.00am - 11.00pm
Sunday
11.00am - 7.00pm

So, it won't be open to the length of a full Foxtel replay, but it will be open for just over an hour after the game anyway...

Col has suggested before the game as well, no harm in capturing people who may prefer that to a late night (with family commitments etc)?

The Eels play the Raiders at Parramatta Stadium this Saturday night. Gates open at 5.05pm, with Toyota Cup kicking off at 5.15 and First Grade at 7.30.

How about we say if any fans want to meet in Sterlos before the game that one meeting time is 4:00pm-5:00pm (or later for those who may not want to see all of U20s) and another meeting time is 9:45pm-10:45pm for anyone heading back to Sterlos after the game? :D

Maybe someone could get word to the players (incl U20s) about the after session, in case any of them are up for an informal mix and mingle back at the Leaguesy with some fans? That might be a bit much to expect, but who knows, we might be starting something here for non-Sunday games that the club can later follow...

post match shindig in the auditorium would ideally be what the club should be looking at (and also dropping that stupid no footbal jumpers after 7pm rule for match days). it would be great for the opening home game of the season and may even help with crowd numbers for the game.
