You know its a big sport when you play in front of a "packed house" of 3000!!

sh*t NBL games got more than that??

SBW could probably take a sh*t in public and draw a bigger crowd than that in Sydney

On Fox Sports they called it a "3000-strong" crowd.

This is for a rugby union side chock full of "world class" players.

How many do NRL trials draw? Especially at country venues?

SBW..shoulder charge. One dimensional play like that will get caught out...chuck him in super 14 and the likes of Sivivatu, Tuqiri and co will sort him out.
Shoulder charge>one dimensional?!

Typical rah rah, trying to make out union as being somehow more technically mysterious than it really is.

As for SBW, he won't take long to adapt to the new rules, which will lessen his flair and creativity. As others have said, hope he hates playing RU.

Union is not one on one...SBW will have 2-3 guys attacking him from all angles.

If he does not adapt then he will screwed...happy with that response.

Why the need for a personal insult? Honestly don't see the need for it, unless it makes you feel big, in which case I'm happy to be of service to you.

As for your answer, are you saying that in RL there are no multi-player tackles?

And are you saying that SBW never had an orthodox tackling technique down pat in RL and could only do shoulder charges and is therefore 'one dimensional'?

So, no, I'm not happy with you response as it is wrong. Technically RL is by far the more developed game (it is in attack too, but that's a different story) so surely the rah rahs SBW is with are more one-dimensional than their new recruit.

Apart from the silly shoulder charge, he did pretty well for his first game of rugby. Anyways, you can read more about his debut on my blog.

Just saw some footage on Sports tonight.. showed a good run where he set up a try with ease. He absolutely poleaxed the #10 with the shoulder charge.

Yep I just saw footage of the game on channel 9.

"He seemingly toyed with his opposition."

It showed him making about 5 linebreaks lol

the only time anyone attacks someone in union is when they are lying defenceless on the ground and someone rucks their unprotected head.

as SBW has been able to handle himself in RL, hell be able to look after himself in the slower rugby game

Boudjellal is a business cowboy. He just doesn't care about contracts. He tried the same thing for SA lock Bakkies Botha. But the South African federation managed to block the move (which was easier in that case, as they could call the IRB to the rescue).
