Who are ‘they’? I haven’t asked for any support. I actually like the idea of socialism...just don’t think it will ever work in the real world with real people in charge.

I’m glad the government isn’t as ideologically shackled as some would believe to the free market and has adopted some socialist policy to get people through this, both as a humanitarian response...but also so people are able to get back to work and start paying back all the money we’ve poured into it.

BTW, our curve is looking good. Early days I know but a definite trend. Shows that different methods can work, and, most importantly, people are starting to listen.
I find it interesting that it is already changing our behaviours and principles. I was at Costco the other day and got the Tom Tits with someone standing way too close to me in the checkout when they didn't have to. Normally I wouldn't give a rats ginger, but now....
Also went to the shops this morning with my partner (snagged some 3 ply by the way), was holding her hand (cause I'm such a snag) and felt like a crim

Absolutely. This is a nightmare in Spain, Italy, New York. And only just beginning. We would be there too (still could be) except for social distancing and the actions of our governments. It would be easier to fake the moon landing or 911 (I don't for a minute believe those conspiracies) than the news out of those places. This is obviously real, deadly, and heart breaking for so many people.

You do know the deadliest virus ever was "just a flu" don't you? (in terms of total deaths).

SARS and MERS were very deadly. The clinical consequences of this aren't as bad.

But the population consequences are much worse, as it spreads much more easily than SARS or MERS did. More easily than the flu even, and more deadly than the flu.

As it is, the flu kills hundreds of thousands world wide every year. If we don't contain coronavirus, this could kill that many just in Australia.

Oh boy. Not that I watch Netflix, but I'd have been much better off than reading that tripe. I can't take back those 5 minutes I've wasted.

Deep state conspiracies? New world orders? Putin as a hero? Coronavirus pandemic faked? Vaccines keeping big pharma happy so other treatments suppressed?

Reading that so called "journal" you linked, with no sources, no peer review, and no single paragraph that wasn't filled with crazy conspiracy talk, did not in any way constitute "research".

Have the nutty conspiracy theorists of the far left and the nutty conspiracy theorists of the far right finally joined forces? This article is speaking to all of them, it seems (though the flat earthers can feel aggrieved that they were left out).
