The virus came to the fore in November in China, no one outside the Chinese Govt disclosed the fact til about 3rd week January.
2 Chinese doctors blew the whistle and were silenced, one then contracted the virus later dying, the other a female disappeared.

The Libs stopped non Australian Chinese citizens from coming in early Feb ,even before the Yanks.Just about the first country to do so.Else we'd be in deeper sh*t, like Italy and Spain.

I know you don't keep up with the news, but it was spelt out ATT, even by our ABC.Some leftist commentators even criticised the Govt, for banning Chinese citizens entering Australia ATT.Many of whom Uni students.

Send all your bills over to President Xi for services rendered.

Plenty of warning to do something drastic but didn’t.

and here we are.

I hope your grandkids like paying your bills.

debt, deficit, disaster.

Just asked my kids if they’d rather a bill or see pop and nan dead. Weird but all 3 said a bill.

You upset your commie China mates are a bit on the nose?

Nan and pop don’t need to be dead, just not living a luxurious life on the grandkids credit card.

why don’t you sign them up to a pyramid scheme while you’re there?

My 95yr old mum is in a Nursing Home on the Sunshine Coast. My sister who lives nearby, has been visiting daily up until they locked it down 5 weeks ago! Though Mum has been complaining of shortness of breath for the past couple of days, she (or no one) is allowed to see her! This is obviously getting to Mum, as staff are obviously allowed to still come and go! My sister told me of another family she met whose Mum was in the same home with dementia, being distressed that their mum won't even answer the phone when they ring, because in her mind, they had abandoned her!!
How many of our couped up loved ones are going to die -not from the virus but from its effects

How about a GST levy to pay down the debt when this all settles down? We get about 70bill a year from GST. Bung it up to 12-15% for a finite time (say 5-10 years) as a corona tax.

I like the gst. User pays. They could maybe bump up the rock and roll to offset.

Problem solved. What’s next?

tax is a burden, etc etc
