i think he might mean bowen at 7...that would never ever happen.
Bowen is a benchy and will continue to be for a while yet

I think Wesser wil be left out. I personally would pick Bowen over Wesser ATM but it really comes down to personal preference

No because he has already said Prince at 7 and Thurston off the bench

I don't think Thurston should be punished for playing behind a great pack of forwards. He's playing what's in front of him and it's not as if he's going to ask Rah and Charlie to take it easy for a while so he can perform behind a team that's not going forward.

Over the past three weeks, the Tigers have played Manly, Dragons and the Eels. They were all winnable games. The biggest losing margin was 10. It's not as if they were getting smashed around the park. Yes, the Cowboy's have been playing better, but the Tigers haven't been playing so badly it doesn't give Prince a chance to shine.

Also, I think Prince played well in game one last year.. but in game's two and three thought it would be easier to just be a link man to Lockyer. It would be much better for the opposition to feel the need to shut down both the halves, rather than just one. Thurston is dangerous enough on his own (in a similar dynamic way to Bowen), and can create something out of nothing with his passing game.

And I'll never forget that Dragons/Tigers game last year when Gasnier went past Prince four times for four trys.

Seymour.

Thurston on the bench.

Prince 'did the job' last year, but he doesn't quite have the ability to dominate at Origin level.

Thurston for a number of reasons

1) I think he is in better form
2) There will be a few other cowboys in the team Bowen. Webb, Hannay, Bowman, Williams and unless he has retired for Origin Sing are all chances for getting picked.

Seymour is ready now, on ability he is the halfback Queensland have been searching for. His combination with Lockyer has the potential to end the recent NSW dominance of Origin.

Thurston has to be in the side somewhere and he has the ability to make a significant impact in the No.7 spot. Having Prince at half back and Thurston on the bench is not wise, if the selectors are thinking that way the would be far better going with Thurston at halfback.

Thurston is on another level to Prince. Queensland need someone to take the pressure off Lockyer and Thurston can not only do that, but he has the ability to exceed those expectations and be the match winner in his own right. So QLD have to go for Thurston.

After round 3 when Prince was playing and kicking well, i would have said Prince, but he has since gone right off in form. Thurston has been on fire and deserves the gig, although he did have a shocker last weekend.

It's a hard call, I think Thurston is the better player, but the better halfback? It's not so clear then. I guess it'll come down to who would partner Lockyer the best, in my opinion it would be Price as Thurston is more of an instinctive player and doesn't really drive the team around the park which will put more pressure on Lockyer.

Don't forget thurston can take the back seat aswell if he has to, just watch the bulldogs game vs the warriors last year when he played halfback. He just played a linkman role so that Braith Anasta could run the team.

The halfback is Queenslands achiles at the moment

I'd probably pick Seymour, and he's a bit of a rookie.

Prince isnt doing too flash atm, but he is the incumbent.

Thurston got his ass kicked by a rookie on Sunday.

Not much there to pick from.

Give it to Tim Smith

 i think qld want to win hes isnt ready for origin hes had a few good games

na i dunno how well Seymour is playing cause i hate the broncos with a passion so i never watch them

Prince played last year and played well also he is named captain this weekend for the tigers could make him step hes game up huge.

Thurston is gonna get hes chance more likely in game 2 or 3 IF prince doesnt step up
