they could release Australian stand-off Sean Rudder, who has failed to shine since his move from Newcastle Knights in the close season.

Well, I wouldn't mind getting him back, but dont offer him to much.

Yes but he should play as a utility / backrower rather than 5/8.

If he was cheap and didn't want to be a playemaker there might be some merit in it.

It just goes to show that Johns' brillance made Rudder the 5/8 he was over here, Without him, he is struggling. In saying that, I wouldn't mind getting him for a reasonable price, to add depth to our squad.

Well all i can say if it's true that he is getting released is that he has been a big let down. He has been played in the stand off position but failed to shine there and now since we have signed Motu Tony he has been dropped to the bench and is not getting any game time.

He seems more at home when he has come from the bench and played in the 2nd row but he would'nt be a starter there as we have too many better players in that area. I would like to see him given more time to adapt but alot of our fans are getting on his back.

Hes a better backrower than playmaker.

Hes big enough 100kg and reasonable fast, if he got released and wanted another crack then I wouldn't complain.

But the contract would have to be small.

I remember last year, he played a bit of back row and played very well. Our team really clicked together around that time. I think if he is released he will go to Souths or Manly.

He is currently on £80,000 a year which makes him the highest paid player in our team. I wonder how much he would get if he came back to you guys....

Really :?: Why the hell would you pay Rudder that much? He was never THAT good.

Yep...hes on that much. I think its unfair on Sean to be under pressure from the fans. He came over with us fans thinking he was a number 6/playmaker and that he was a really good player. Unfortunately he isnt a number 6 or a playmaker and alot of our fans are on his back but to me it isnt his fault that its not his position...its the coaches fault for playing him there week in week out

Thats around 200k Aussie, there was talk that he was on around that at the KNights.

I do however think that Castleford got sold a lemon, Joey made him look a lot better than he was.

If he came back he might get 80K Aus.

Crazy Poms....

Rudder was always a better back rower than he was a five eighth. First game I saw with him in it was against Norths, and he cut them up. Of course, they were awful that year.... lol

Rudder would make a good 2nd rower as Ive always said. He is craptacular as a playmaker. Get him on the cheap.

80,000 pounds for rudder just goes to show how much cash is flying around the english game.

Because they're english 8)

Hey we arent all that bad :D No its our stupid boards fault for giving him that much...every year when we buy a player from abroad they are given the most money at the club

E.G Kyle Warren - poor
Mitch Healey - Looked ok
Wayne Bartrim - Only decent player we signed in recent seasons but he moaned and left when he was left out of the team

What happened with Daren Albert case?

If thats the Darren Albert that went to Saint Helens then he is doing very well indeed. Top try scorer there last season and i think he's topping there try chart again this year
