2023 Stat: Imagine someone having a beer with Benji at a pub and saying '2005 sounds like it was great. But I wasn't alive then'... That can start to happen this year if we don't won't it in 2023.

To
But so will To’a, won’t he?

I read somewhere (maybe here), that Talau is destined for the forwards?
Maybe, but at this stage I don’t think he is up to NRL, I wouldn’t write him off just yet, but he needs to go up a few levels

One thing I just noticed about our draw is that we are doing a heap of travelling this season. We start & finish the season with 3 games in Sydney, but in the middle 21 rounds we play only 7 games in Sydney, with 11 games out of Sydney plus 3 byes. This is largely thanks to us whoring out 3 of our home games, but we have just about every road trip possible this year. Need to take advantage of the soft opening draw as the middle of the season will be tough.

Women's football WC plays a big part...I guess the eels will shuffle around as well?
What doesn't kill us will make us stronger!...so long as it doesn't kill us...which it probably will

Everything kills us.

Our Ground announcer’s third cousin stubs her toe, then our lock does an acl during the next captains run.

No direct causality required for our misfortune.

Big guys are long overdue but they must be mobile.

Ive grown tired of tired of watching our backs intimidate our forwards at training!

If any of our “marquee” play any trials etc, I’ll know Tim’s dropped the ball.

Ideally we want Mickey mousers like Des used to send in against us, and with a bit of luck get flogged with no one injured.

Over a third of the nrl players in any given club taking injured by seasons end, please let’s be eminently sensible about conserving talent as best we can.

If we are getting flogged senseless and there’s no way through, ffs, let’s not have Api make a brilliant try saving tackle in the 75th minute and break his arm in the process.

And unless we can sign glam, someone has the stump up the extras for Doogie.

Thanks, he’s a big unit.
Yeah, still very young and powerful on spritely legs, bringing much needed balance to the experience joining the squad.

I’m just hoping for regular high standard from the new guys, a lot of the progress and improvement has to come from existing young stock, so they have a big responsibility.

Still, the fresh talent should bring a lot of teaching and hopefully a good club atmosphere.

Gus Gould has spoken a lot about the importance of experienced players being allowed to play footy and not being coached stale. Tim is talking effort and desire.

Rugby league is a science and an art. The interplay of variables and outcomes, it’s fascinating.

Jason Taylor was particular about individual player management as have been many coaches.

Just a pity all the resources pumped into Brooks hasnt stopped his ship sinking. Can the coaching cadre pull off the miracle??!

Alas, I think not. Not much talk about Will Smith…I think we need a thread on this perpetual dark horse.
