“Did you watch them yesterday? They are running out of excuses, they have Kikau, Burton, Addo-Carr, Mahoney, Pangai Junior, Luke Thompson their English international.

“To run a football side with the talent they’ve got they need a stronger halfback, someone who can steer this side around the park,”

Sounds similar to us, glad to see, we are not the only ones in the crapper.

Who could have guessed Ciraldo wouldn't be the star he was painted to be. Same with Bellacheck without Brady.

With a premiership drought stretching in to its 37th year, nobody really knows why the Eels bother anymore.

It began with the egregious decisions to surrender Reed Mahoney and Isaiah Papali’i, the former which was compounded by stumping up equivalent cash for the older and more rickety Josh Hodgson.

This was exacerbated by the actions of Dylan Brown and his long-term suspension, plus the Mitchell Moses contract saga which dragged on so long it called for a shot clock.

But in the Eels season of self-inflicted woe, none match the Ryan Matterson suspension as one of the wildest gutter-balls of all time.

------------------------------

So good to see another club cop it and especially more so cos it's the eels and one of our ex-players hahaha

Where's @Someone2 to give us his version of events?

Against the odds and highly unlikely but, with 3 games to play, we are 4 pts below the drags

R24
Us v Dolphins
Them v Storm
R25
Us v Roosters
Them v Warriors
R26
Us v Manly
Them v Knights

Unbelievable but who knows????

It’s sad to think we are only trying to avoid the spoon, isn’t it:(

Manly coach Anthony Seibold will reportedly drop five-eighth Josh Schuster to reserve grade in a huge shake-up.

------------------------------

Wasn't that long ago Seibold was saying how good he was going?

I guess it might not be over about him coming here? I think Fulton is a big fan?

Api should receive an "above and beyond the call of duty" medal for this season....he's given everything ...even came back early from a broken jaw to try and help. He's been tireless for us!

He has seen players come and go at the Warriors but insists that fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, utility Dylan Walker and forwards Marata Niukore and Mitch Barnett have added wonderful qualities to the Warriors in their move from 15th on the ladder in 2022 to fourth this season.

"Those four guys don't walk past stuff and they don't take short cuts," Jones told AAP ahead of the Warriors trip to Penrith for Saturday afternoon's qualifying final.

"The coach (Webster) has brought a new dimension to the team, and the players we have brought here are really good characters first and foremost and also outstanding footballers.

------------------------------

While not about us, it's an insight of attracting the right players and what they can do for the club.

We've already got a few, just need a few more to hopefully help get us out of the shit pile we have created?

Yes, but what about missed tackles, errors and metres conceded? I am sure we would have some season leaders in these categories.
