Going by the current result in the Dolphins V Broncos game. We will unfortunately miss out on the top 8 after today’s disgusting performance. Need quite a few results to go our way.
Newcastle to lose tomorrow V Titans
Newcastle to beat Dolphins next week. And of course us winning against Canberra.
Flanagan’s press conference says it all, you could hear in his voice how disappointed he was in that game.
I do hold SOME hope though after today I’m doubting it

One out running
Passing the ball back 5 metres from the dummy half
trying to run through the middel only
multiple sets of 6 where we don't pass the ball outside of 20m from the middle of the field
Slow play the balls
dropped balls
shit kicks on the 6th Tackle

We are in a tonne of trouble

Even if we beat the Raiders next week and I doubt that we will, we have to rely on either the Knights to lose against the Titans tomorrow and then the Knights to beat the Dolphins next week. I have a feeling that the Knights will beat the Titans and the Dolphins will then beat the Knights and the Dolphins finish in 8th spot and our guys go fishing.

It has been a really up and down season for us and these last couple of games we just have not been anywhere near the team that we needed to be to be in finals contention in a fortnights time.

Our last two games we needed Ben Hunt to really step up to the mark but he didn't and he himself said that he has been poor. Flanno needs to shaft him but he just doesn't have anyone else capable of managing a game either so he is stuck with Ben as the half, but he can take the captaincy off of him and give to say Su'a.

I don't know what sort of contract Dean Young has as the Defenceless Assistant Coach. This guy really needs to step up to the mark as well if he is still the assistant next year. Flanno has not only problems with the players but also the assistants he has. Big, big problems.

Yeah the defence is a huge issue especially for a coach who prides himself on that. Will be interesting if any coaching changes will be made in 2025

Defenceless Assistant Coach.
Bit harsh DD. Plenty of guys have stepped up to the plate in defense this season, only have to look at their stats, so Young is doing his job mate. It is more a lack of discipline and slowness by some off our line. He knows who they are and will sort em out in the off season. Our worst serial offenders are our outside backs, have no idea how to defensively read the play. Deano must tear out whats left of his hair every time one hands the opposition an easy try.

Silver lining, losing that game yesterday showed to the everyone that Hunt isn’t the man to take us to the next level. He’s been outed now and will not be extended, he’ll be lucky to see out his contract, I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see him offloaded in the off season.
We need a fresh start, with a positive passionate captain.

Agree, Rava’s start to the game yesterday put us on the back foot with 3 major early mistakes and misreads.
However, you can’t leak that many points and expect to win

It's the End of the Line, 2025 will be my last season of ever watching Rugby League again, I have been a passionate St George supporter since 1977 and up to this point I have had enough, there has been some improvement this year, I thought after they beat the Storm, they had positioned themselves nicely to make the semi's, having a decent run home, but got donuts against Penrith, Bullcheats and Scumulla, but yesterday loss against Parramatta was a true indication of there DNA, a DNA that has been cemented ever since mid 2011 mentally soft, how can a player that has been part of a club for so long, play so poorly, Mikaele Ravalawa is a testament to the systems that were in place btw 2019-2023.
Dean Young and B Hunt must go, If I was Flanno, I would throw Hunts money towards Wishart and talk Shaun Johnson out of retirement to help out for 2025, I would use him like Wayne Bennett used Benji at Souths.
