I think depth has been the biggest problem we’ve had for the past decade or more.
I look at the dogs last year, there reserve grade side was on par with our FG side, in the game we played them.
We certainly need to develop players, no problems. But we need quality in reserve grade as well.
IMO, at least 2 or 3 backs and the same for the forwards.
Oh yeh, I agree. I said something similar yesterday.
I was just having a joke about these players who are sitting on the rim of the teacup. It's hard to say which way they will go.
I saw him in the training pics.
Talking of which, where did you put the first lot of training pics Tm. Can they be updated or did you just put the link in there.

I think I’ve put them on the season 25 thread.
It started from Nov 1 then about every 7 days?
I just posted Wk 4, so there should be 4 that I posted?

Cheers big ears.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Maybe a preseason thread would be appropriate which could have all the training pics and any thing related right up to the trials.

I think you'd play him on the right edge but I assume they are looking to play Seyfarth there. Personally I think Seyfarth is better in the middle but maybe he'll do the job.
If you look closely to where players are positioned, they often move around, especially when defending. Bird will play that typical Isaiah Yeo role in attack where he links with player deep behind the decoy runners (block plays) however because of obstructions being more prevalent these days the decoys don't run deep which means the shifts are quicker and player who start these plays are getting quicker.
An example of this is someone like Graham did this at the Dogs and now Yeo, a more agile running player with good hands, does a lot of the linking moves.
Bird may even transition out into the centres in defense. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Richo claims to have the best spine in the NRL also.. Potentially good spine, but best is just a gee up.
Yeah, I don’t think we have as yet, our 1 & 6 have huge potential.
Interesting, who do you think has the best?
Your mob did, but is your new 6 and your 9 going to give you the mantle again?

The thing is with our spine it's completely untested. Richo should have stated potentially we have a very good spine.

I wonder who has the best spine now - probably Melbourne. Paps, Munster, Grant & Hughes.

Don't worry too much about it mate, it just gives the trolls something to talk about. Water off a duck's back.
