I always pictured AD as a fullback, however he didn't do too well everytime he was put at the back.
He's caught in between roles and doesn't really excel at either.
He is a competitive player who hates losing and I've been saying for a long time on here that he'll be Olam's partner. I don't agree with it but our club seems to make these sort of decisions.
AD did have an exceptional game in the finals for souths at fullback early in his career but it’s pretty much been downhill since. After 3 ACL’s on the same knee he should have searched for a new vocation.Hes delusional re his magnified view of his footy ability.

He isn't even in our top 30. Personally I don't think he is great but as a back-up option he is fantastic. He can do the job in first grade. Same as Porter. These guys aren't top tier players but having these guys as back-up is huge.
I think Benji was right to keep giving him opportunities and he has continued to improve.

Realistically, we will have a quarter of our starting side done and dusted midway through the season through injury and suspension and he will continue to be called upon.

Im not sure if anyone has done the maths but for CTE and so forth, it seems players of yesteryear didn’t seem to get injured as much as today. I’m over it tbh.

I'm not saying you are wrong but I'd have him below To'a, Turuva, Olam, Staines in the pecking order and on par with Feledy and Naden.

My first option for him would be reserves as a right edge backrower.

I agree. A nice problem for a change.
Whatever happens the backline that wins is one that plays like a cohesive unit and not one with tall poppy's in it.

IMO, it's the training they do in both attack and defence.
I suspect the muscles are very tightly strung these days, so a wrong move or a precision tackle can end them.

I reckon he has been good and he is a great back-up player.

I forgot Faataape in my list of centres as well. I reckon he is better than the second group of centres I listed. So above AD, Naden and Feledy.
He has the talent and would go better with our improved team.
He after did play a leading hand in East Brisbane Tigers grand final win.
