I’d like to see mason stay at fullback and become our Reece Walsh. He needs to improve his defence but being so small a lot for that will be between the ears. It may even mean a shortened career. Surely he’s hitting the weights.

He's not a fullback though imo. If you watched him in pathways he excelled in the halves. He had little choice to fill in at fullback when Bula was injured.
He certainly has the best rig in the club.
I think if he remains at the Wests Tigers he may take over from Olam and partner Makasini in the centres???
The thing is WA, available spots tend to guide players through their career. If they don't like their prospects their manager is on the phone.
So if this is the case, where then would he play considering Bula and Turuva are our first choice fullbacks?
If Galvin chases the big dollars then who takes his place. Depends on what happens with Sullivan I guess.
Luke Laulilii is a good fullback too.
Try and find the highlights of our 2022 HM premiership winning team, he was amazing and so was Heath at ⅝.
Oh to have a crystal ball hey.

For sure but he’s at fullback so Benji maybe hasn’t given up on Heaths preference for fullback? It’s easy to give up on players for whatever reason maybe Benji hasn’t.. and I won’t for now ..But yes as you say, to have a Crystal ball..

Our best chance at a Reece Walsh is Balmain sg ball fullback Logan Brookes. Mason a totally different player imo. I still think his best chance of regular NRL is as a Connor Watson bench utility. He looks small but is a lot broader then us realise and as his body hardens could even see him coming on and playing 13.

I didn't post this but I thought about it. It's hard to justify Klemmers salary going forward and it's hard to justify playing him enough this year to enable him to earn the contract extension.
I think Klem is aware of all the rumblings as he appears to be really putting in at training.
The way I see it it a better problem than having him jog along being paid big bucks without someone pushing him for a spot like last year.
If he finds some form then that will help as we desperately need a book end...Miller stuffed things up a tad but I don't like the telly tubby's attitude surrounding his fitness.
I'd rather a proper bookend instead of rotating Pole from lock (late edit) to the middle which is certain to happen this year.

I think we were seeing Klemmers best last year. I don’t think there’s any improvement left in him. Just a lumbering, no penetration, no intimidation past it player.

Sadly, I agree. It is never through lack of trying with Klemmer. He is past it and we are just riding his contract out......just like the Knights are riding out Hastings I guess.

In my opinion Pole is a lock for a middle forward spot and not on an edge. I reckon his footwork in the middle is great. He set-up some opportunities for Api last year.

Props:- Pole, May, Hunt, Sione Fainu (he is trialing on an edge but they've played him in the middle), Twal & Klemmer.
Locks:- Bird, Sione Fainu, Matamua, Kit Laulilii

There is some cross over there and up until late last year Seyfarth was playing basically in the middle.

The only issue I see is where do you play them all especially since May and Twal have long minutes in them.

With a contract that gets him a nice extension if he plays a certain number of games.

It's first grade sport right. It's not like we owe him.

How many games does he have to play to get it? I think we'd be mad to have him get that extension no matter how well he plays.
Especially when there are so many young middles that would be cheaper. If so who are they and let's grab em. :)
Keep watching the trials.

Yeh I did mean from lock to middle, typo.
Imo, Klemmer will play at prop and Pole will push into that spot on rotation. That's how I see it because I also see Bird coming on when the opposition are vulnerable and he moves into Pole's lock position.
I've seen similar things happen before many times.
I know people didn't like Stefano but he would've been better for us instead of Clem but he can kiss off demanding money that the best props in the game are getting.
I don't think they'll split Samuela Fainu and Galvin up on the left which means a new look Tigers attack now Luai has arrived.
Basically the way I see it, we'll have a three pronged attack on both sides of the field because Bird loves the right side.
Last year the used Galvin on the left and right in preparation for Jarome's arrival.

I'm a nice guy but it's professional sport. I think it was 14 games but I'm not sure. I don't see why we would play him unless injuries occur.

I don't think he is bad. He just isn't s top tier prop and we need that money.
