Api cleared to play.
Two-time grand final winner Api Koroisau, one of the last remaining vaccine-hesitant NRL players, has been cleared to play this season after receiving two doses of a COVID jab in a massive boost to Penrith’s grand final defence
Koroisau, who missed the Panthers’ grand final parade last year over his vaccination status, remains coy about the issue, but sources familiar with the situation have told the Herald one of Penrith’s key men will be right for round one.
It’s believed Koroisau never positioned himself as an anti-vaxxer, but took his time to receive a jab either side of the virus sweeping through the Panthers’ playing squad over the Christmas and New Year period.

Api Koroisau, one of the last NRL vaccine holdouts, free to play
The two-time premiership winner has given the Panthers a huge boost on the eve of the season with the NRL’s non-vaccinated group dwindling.
