What is Parramatta's thinking with the trials?

1. Travelling all over the place
2. Playing three rather than two
3. Having a three week gap between the last trial and the first round.

It's an 'interesting' approach?

There were four and there would have only been a two week break. With so many youngsters and new players in key positions it was needed to build combinations. The travel will happen throughout the season - its no real different.

You obviously haven't seen the condition of Pioneer Oval recently have you?

They haven't been able to water it with the drought.

I hope the players don't mind picking bindies out after every tackle.

Talking to my mate he reckoned it wasn't too bad. He plays rugby for Parkes but he reckoned it had had a bit of rain in the past few weeks.

Yeah it's fine. It'll be better than Suncorp is most winters.

Bore water and some big thunderstorms.

Just trying to cause heart flutters.

Can anyone tell me who Brad Wallace is? His name isn't ringing any bells with me over here?

Otherwise, good to see the young uns getting an O/S trip and getting to show their wares. And good that Ash is OK to back-up and actually get some game time...

I think he is new to the club. Someone help me here but is he from the Gold Coast?

Spoke to one of the Newcastle guys - he has been playing in their Flegg side for the past few years.

He was halfback on a schoolboys tour of England in 2001.
His nickname is 'The Shadow".
His elder brother Shaun was Premier League hooker for the knights in 2002, and was a 5/8 and halfback before that.
At one stage the Wallace brothers from Maitland were hoped to be the new Johns brothers.
Brad has been playing centre in Flegg last season, but he can fill in at 5/8, half or hooker.
He is not very big - but both the Wallace brothers have tremendous positional sense.

I would not be surprised to see PJ maybe get a run - just to get him some extra game fitness and see how he goes.
