Yes he’s right - but maybe he just wants it applied from next season (yes I know it was back in 2015 he said it)
I heard on the news he got off because he convinced the panel it was chest first.
Hahahaha
f**k off
I’d have more respect for the merkins if they just came out and said that his last game is better for ratings...or some shit.
The best thing about this GF is that only only one of the sides can win.
A great result IMO. These kind of tackles happen at the back all the time and no one gets outraged about it but because it's Billy the NSW hatred comes out . Waqa Blake did it 2 weeks ago and was not even charged
It's great I get to watch the best fullback I have ever seen play 1 more game. Hopefully Cooper gets up for it as well
I've never even set foot in NSW, nor do I support them. Far too convenient to say it's only 'da haterz' who think the NRL are a bunch of spineless merkins and Billy should be suspended.
Waqa Blake wasn't suspended because there was no on-field action taken against it, he wasn't penalised or put on report, and probably it was just forgotten about by fulltime.
It'd be great to see the best fullback play one more game if he didn't actually commit an offense that is against the rules of the NRL, which he did. Oh no wait, he didn't - because they bent those rules. And they'll bend them back until another poster child of the comp does the same.
Fairytales are easy to achieve in footy when someone at HQ orchestrates them for you.
What relevance does the points loading have to this situation? It’s a great outcome for the game. Well done nrl judiciary. Now change the points loading so you dont get put in this ridiculous situation again. Spear tackles are far more dangerous yet don’t carry an automatic ban as we saw this week with Friend.
Let me guess. You believe the Earth is flat, The US blew up the Twin Towers and Australia does not really exist.
There were plenty not even charged this season. It’s good for the GF that he’s playing and that’s fine. But the NRL have truly F’d themselves in the A with this. That was a shoulder charge any day of the week and anything resembling that tackle will have to be let go from now on.
The Blake one was round 17, close to 3 months ago. Not hard to see why it wasn't charged, and no-one said a word until this Slater tackle came up. There really is a need to clarify the shoulder charge over the off-season. Neither tackle was deserving of even a penalty. Blake appears to have made contact near the hip.Waqa Blake did it 2 weeks ago and was not even charged
That doesn't matter. There were plenty not even charged this season.
