Holy crap are Penrith looking good for next season, four quality signings as well as their under 20's doing well this season. Things looking up for them.

NSW Cup is 2nd. U20's 1st. We don't have any hookers yet. So we needed him. Bunniesman is right. You drive 30mins up northern or Mulgoa roads. Or past Windsor plenty of farmland if he wants. 1 hr drive his in the city or the beaches

I am in shock, we dont sign players until November. WTF is going on. Amazing what a few changes at the top can make. 12 months ago we were lower end of the table in all 3 grades, bleeding quality players & replacing them with nuffys. The 1st grade side wont trouble anyone this year, but things are most definatly on the up. Now if we can snag Ta'ai from the Warriors I reckon we could pull up stumps on recruitment for the year.

Really good signing although wonder what that means for Kingston. Cleary just made his captain so he must still be in the picture.

He's 29. Good for the leadership group right now, but you can't really count him in a 5 year plan.

We probably won't make the 8 this year but Gus and the recruitment team at the Riff have done us good for the next 5 years.

How many players have we got off contract this or next year?

We'll survive, he's a good kid but has had his problems with injury and suspension. Considering the players we have coming off contract the next couple seasons I don't imagine we had too much room to move to compete with a decent offer over multiple seasons.

Good luck for the future Segs.

Ray Thompson didn't look too bad at hooker last night. He could be the guy to replace Payne.

MASSIVE. Can't believe the Cowboys let him go. He's by far the best hooker they have. Cowboys will be poorer for it.

He's just 21. His best days are ahead of him.

Can't believe they let him go for the 29 year old Payne. Payne should have been released every day of the week ahead of a gem like Segeyaro.

IMO this will go down as an excellent buy for Penrith. The Cowboys will look make to rue this day.

We did everything reasonable to keep him.

He stated he didn't like the travel he did with the Cowa and would rather be more settled and wanted a lifestyle change.

No doubt we will rue his loss, but we were never going to throw the kitchen sink at him. A 3 year offer similar to Penrith's was offered.

Why would he leave the club that made him a somebody for a similar offer?

Do you read?

See if this gives you a clue.

We have a number of up and coming stars, and the team also resides in Townsville - Which is a fishbowl and fairly isolated.
It's not hard to be lured to the temptations of Sydney.
