Over the uncertainty of the whole Seggy situation. While he's a quality player he comes with baggage and a hefty price-tag. Have some faith in the kids (Nu/Brailey etc) and set ourselves up for the future imo.

Yeah I get that attitude but I also think we need to be patient. Throwing Brailey in could kill his confidence. Remember Licchaa

Only my opinion but with it likely being Gal and Lewie's last year and Jimmy likely to step up even further in the absence of Ennis - plenty of old heads to help his transition. Also gives us the chance to play Nu off the bench to ease him into regular first grade as well.

Brailey isn't physically up to it.

Mortimers not a realistic option at 9 for any side that wants to threaten for a title.

Might go okay in club games against tits and knights. Might.

But come september and the big boys get serious. Doesnt have that level in him.
Would he even think to mimic a viking clap??

Brailey is a better hooker than Nu technique wise, but as above, questions over his physical readiness...Maybe after a season in NSW Cup? The U20s do a real disservice to hookers in particular, don't get to experience the grit and terror of Origin level props running at you and then bouncing back to be confident and crafty. Lichaa is the perfect example. Superstar revealed as a dud once he moved up.

Mortimer and Cherrington would be my picks for 9. Imo, Nu is to a hooker what Jack Bird is to a 5/8, he's never looked at home there from the games I've seen him play at 9, though he can do the job, his best traits aren't utilized there.

Brailey and possibly Cherrington will develop as hookers but if they are our first grade options this year they are patches. Filling the spot.

Segeyaro on the other hand does much more than fill the spot. He adds to the team.

Totally agree that Nu doesn't look like a hooker. 5/8 for me and a good potentially great 5/8

f**k them then.

Let them deal with paying a player 200,000 pounds who doesn't want to be there.

They're not paying him they have already said as much.
But transfer fees for players are much more common in England than here so his registration is seen as an asset. It's him that has broken contract not the club they're within their rights to hold his registration as a result.

Ok then, so he should fly over there and collect a paycheck for turning up and playing with a pea heart.

Leeds have said they won't entertain him. He's broken his contract and that's him done with the club. They hold his registration and that all seems above board.
