I keep hearing Segeyaro and Griffin don't get on and he is on the outer. If so this is 1 player Saints should be chasing hard. Seriously, this guy will be a huge upgrade from Rein. I am surprised they have not already been linked to him. They have everyone else.

I heard we are negotiating with him, but waiting on the outcome of talks with Rein (who is apparently not happy with our offer)

I think the club and McGregor want to resign Rein, but on a discounted price, or at best, extend his current contract with no price rise. He is reported to be on 450k a year which is ridiculously high for him. I can't see Segeyaro coming to the Dragons and i don't think we have the cap space to afford him.

I think Rein is alright. Will go better in an outfit with a bit of confidence. Not worth a cent more you are right.

I may be alone on this but I dont want him. I think he is overrated. Tries to do too much which in turn hinders the team more than it helps.

Same age as Rein and has shown waaaay more. He was a massive part of the Panthers run to the prelim in 2014, he won games for his club, and earned the Dally M hooker of the year award that year. Couple of injury hampered seasons since but I would take him in the proverbial HEART BEAT

At his best he is one of the most electric players in the comp. In my opinion he has the best running game from dummy half but his injury history is a huuuuuuge concern. Wouldn't have even hesitated to sign him after his 2014 season, now though? Not so sure.

Mmmm my thoughts as well.

If Rein does pull the pin on us, then we have Havili.

Anyone seen how Coster plays in the Cutters? If he's any good why go searching elsewhere and paying big money.

Penrith are apparently chasing Manaia Cherrington which is who we should be chasing. Segeyaro, although he woukd be a step up on rein, still has the same 1st instinct which is to run which stifles our attack.

Segeyaro is the most underrated played in the comp IMO. Would be nice if it happened but unlikely to I would have to assume.

If he were not an injury risk Penrith would renew his contract.

For all his faults Rein is very durable.

He may not be able to read the game or pass well consistently from Dummy Half, but you know he will play till he drops.

Cherrington seems like a possible solution with Havili.

If Coster can't force his way in to the mix next season we should let him go.

Agree 100%. Would also prefer Cook.

The answer to this will be revealed in the next couple of weeks, when we see whether he makes the starting side ahead of Peter Wallace, who has done a mighty fine job replacing him.

Mind you, Wallace and Hook were supposed to be mortal enemies as few weeks back as well, going back to events at the Broncos.

Actually I thought it would be Segeyaro to the Titans seeing his parents live up that way and Cherrington to the Panthers and Rein stays with us......but who knows on this merry-go-round
