I don’t know there was players like the twins, Sutton, Reynolds and others who looked all washed up and truely found form again last season. Madge’s time at Souths was over no matter what he did, I watched us more than enough to know that.
Yep our forwards were getting smashed in 17 and rule changes didn't help. .

We needed a different style. That's why I think it's ridiculous signing coached for longer than 3 years.

I don’t nexessarily agree. Reynolds has a good 2016 including making SOO. But he did play like a busted half after that. George was constantly battling injuries, I don’t think either twin had a proper off season in 2016 or 17. Sutton was actually one of our best and most consistent over that period

The real issue was injury to GI, paper thin depth (no real support for the twins in the props) and a young/poor group of outside backs. That coupled with the fact nobody was willing to dig in to get ourselves out of a slump.

Like I said Seibold was a great refresh but he was also blessed with promising young players finally coming into maturity, a very low injury toll in the season and some good recruitment decisions before he got there. Madge may very well have had just as good of a season

Surely he has to start making some big changes to his lineup sooner rather than later?

His spine isn't working and his forward pack lacks leadership. He's got some great young halves running around in reserve grade that could change the broncos fortunes and he's also got a few forward options sitting in Reggies as well.

Surely he has to start trying to shake things up a little because fundamentally, the team isn't working.

I can't see any difference in the style of football Brisbane are playing under Seibold? It looks just the same as last year, flaws and all.

You'd think Josh McGuire would have been the froward leader for those great young kids in the pack. A very strange decision to let him go imo. Seems a lot of clubs carry very well paid players who dont seem to be worth the money, Inglis, Boyd, Chambers etc etc

He was asking way too much money, and given the choice I'm choosing Gillett over him any time. That was basically the call. Can't have everyone.

The issue is Milford, Nikorima, Bird and to a lesser degree Bird taking up close to $3 million of our cap. It's terrible list management in the backs.

McGuire was an effective middle forward who could play minutes. they're not common. he's no corey parker, but his loss is being felt. same as sims. they were two blokes who gave a shit and put in the effort and could play some minutes. gillett isn't going to give you this from the edge.

polynesians can give you some impact, but they run out of stamina fast. judging by the arm grabs from these players when strong dominant tackles have been required late in halves, brisbane are going to find themselves outgunned and fatigue every week

That's a fairly broad generalisation. Doesn't seem to be an issue for Jason Taumalolo, nor for the likes of Sio Siua Taukeiaho or Zane Tetevano at the Roosters. I haven't watched most of the Bronco's games but I tend to suspect the stamina issue is more from a lack of NRL experience, which is required to build up the motor, than bloodlines. I take it that a lot of Polynesians are big units and stamina can come down to managing that, however with experience, training and discipline, it won't be an issue.

Andrew Fifita is half Tongan and has great stamina.

I really think he's a bit of a blowhard. For all the talk before the season about the halves taking it to the line and playing off them we sure are doing alot of 1 man forward runs. Our defense is worse as well.

I know Bennett wasn't known for his tactics, but at least he got them fired up for a big game and he made sure we never lost 2 in a row.

Wasn’t an issue for Hass either, he played 80mins in the front row on Sunday.
