Good move to blood him now. We need back up for forward injuries/origin and now Host and Sele both have fg experience. Mary on fire.

I would expect Simms to take Friz's spot. Rib injuries are normally a few weeks so maybe Host or even Kerr to the bench.

Solid debut by Sele. He contributed a lot - really assisted in defence. NRL stats show 29 minutes, 9 hit-ups, 77 metres gained and 16 tackles with 1 missed tackle. He assisted in tackles far more than that. I agree, seemed better than Host's recent games.

It isn't actually a rib injury, in the dragons statement it is an oblique muscle strain, so those muscles that join onto your abs that run along your rib cage.

So it should heal a lot faster than anything that could have been skeletal. I'd expect him to play next week, but if he doesn't, then as you say, Sims to the starting side and Host to the bench with Sele to replace Sims' spot on the bench in the forward rotation with Ah Mau

Sele did good, following the example of the buy of the year Vaughan, he plays with power, every run is hard, and passes the ball, the rest of the pack is following his lead,de Berlin is matching it with him,and very few mistakes and penalties, this is a pack of Mongols, making the backline line look great, even mc crone is showing top form, biggest improver is the hooker,80 minutes ,of hard work each week, thanks to a fitness regime, young guns like sele will shine.

Sele went well and will be a great talent to draw upon later in the season. Now we need to get Kerr up to first grade fitness. He and Leilua were standout in a poor performing Illawarra side.

Good debut by Sele, was impressed with his enthusiasm and composure. Only needs to transition the reserves pace of the game (which is slower) into the NRL standard and he will go OK.

Impressive debut.

Ran hard and defended well.

To me he looks like a Sam Moa type, tough and nuggety.

After JDB scored he gave Sele a wrap for his intent.

It showed good leadership from Jack to praise and motivate the rookie for his lead up work.

The way JDB is playing and if he can control the odd brain snap he has in him, this type of leadership could see him firm further as a future club captain.

Leilua had a couple of U/20's moments yesterday against some shit defence yesterday (they were coming last for a reason) and people start talking him up again.
He is no where near ready for 1st grade and picking him at 5/8 in reggies is just ridiculous (as bad as JDB at 7 last year) and we are damaging the kid.
Leilua and Coen Hess are the same age and there is no comparison between them
Both are huge mountains but that is where the similarity finishes.
Big Luc needs a reality check and to watch some videos of what Hess has done because he is well and truly on his way to SOO this year.
Time for our club to continue on with hard nosed policy and pick Luc in the forwards in reggies and make him play long minutes and earn the right to play NRL.
Sele is miles in front of big Luc and Kerr probably is as well.

Head is responsible for the bad selectiosn with Illawarra he is doing the same stupid shit Logan done thats what got him sacked and Head is heading down the same path as some officials are not happy with him.
